Pibbs says once you go Swede

Came here to say this. I had ACC in my last car, and don’t miss it. Frankly, if I have that many cars around me, I shouldn’t be using Cruise Control, and should be paying attention. And I only wanted to use it in the car alone, because it was so jerky when I had others in the car.

2 days? Pshaw. Here in RI we’ve got one that’s been stuck up since the 70s. It’s so bad now that they want to turn it into a park.

I guess the piss has hit the fan.

I love mine, despite it being in the shop again currently. It is fantastic to drive, insanely good on gas, comfortable, easy to clean when my 8-year old makes a mess, well equipped, and handles whatever I throw in the back.

Goodwill Hunting is searching the racks of your local thrift store for bargains.

I had an SC1 of the same vintage.

Hell no. HELL no.

Unfortunately I doubt many of these will get worn. Probably will sit on shelves to look at for the most part.

Center lane hoggers!

This is a particular occurrence on some highways (I-195 in Massachusetts is a great example), but I notice a lack of use of the right (slow) lane, where people in the middle lane are barely doing the speed limit. That right lane is for you! If you are being passed on the right, it’s because those

Use the acceleration lane (on-ramp) to accelerate!

I don’t know how many accidents I’ve almost seen because someone is trying to merge into traffic on a highway at 20mph below the speed limit.

The need for people to inconvenience others when they make a mistake.

Look, if you weren’t paying attention and are in the left lane of a 3 to 4 lane highway with less than a 1/4 mile to go, you missed your exit. Take the next one, and turn around. GPS makes this easy now.

Cutting off every car on the freeway with no

You must be new here. :)

I took a 2018 GMC Terrain out for a test drive with the 1.6L I-4 LH7 turbo-diesel. I didn’t know slow until I drove that on a highway and couldn’t get out of the way.

Dealers are literally the worst part of the whole car experience. The only time they shape up is when you give them a shitty review on their surveys. A good dealer that went downhill figured that out after my last oil change. When I brought the car in with a bad sunroof gasket, they knew to take care of me.

I had 3 Saabs in the family back in the day, an 05' 9-5 Sedan, followed by an ‘07 9-5 Aero SportCombi, and the partner drove an 06' 9-3 Sedan.

We LOVED those cars. The perfect everyday car. BUT, once they hit 120k, I was spending so much time maintaining them. Seat bolsters wore out on the faux part of the leather seat

I sold my ex-wife’s Saab 9-3 to a guy who “knew about Saabs”. She was on her way back and wanted the chance to say goodbye to it. Unfortunately she was about 1 minute too late as he drove down our driveway on a hill and ripped the front splitter trim straight off the car.

I bought a 944 with a somewhat bad engine,

I don’t see where the fans “kinda lost it”. They all either laughed at it or actually liked the idea based on the responses on twitter.

But when are they going to start doing hover conversions?

2015 was 6 years ago. We’re behind schedule.

Glad you are going with someone who can tow you home.

I had one of those go on a Wrangler about 10 years ago. Glad it never got to the point where it was gushing on me while driving, but I did accidentally start the Jeep with the sensor not fully installed and I could see how you would end up with a miniature oil platform that hit the motherload.

I’m in the same boat. Got my Turo rental setup for my July trip to Florida. fingers crossed the guy doesn’t cancel. otherwise I have to hope that Uber and Lyft rates don’t go through the roof.
