The argument president trump has made is about trade imbalances which changes the picture somewhat as the average tariff between the two is about 3%. An important point to note is that tariffs are a symptom and usually not the cause of trade imbalances.
Actually the USA puts a 25% tariff on all light goods vehicles which is arguably worse.
President Trump believes he can apply tariffs to punish other nations/trading blocs without retaliation which to say is a miscalculation is a rather large understatement.
That’s fair enough I suppose. I like the fact it’s no hassle, a brilliant gearbox and does what I want when I want it too.
I like it to be under the radar, I choose grey with black leather for the same reason. I leave the car in good and bad areas and don’t ever worry about it attracting attention. It works for me to have a car with decent performance but to be quiet about it.
I drive a M135i auto and don’t share the previous posters thoughts on the gearbox. I think the gearbox/engine combo is brilliant and it the mood takes you can also drive the car using the paddles which is what I do when the mood takes me.
They are very different cars to be honest.

Generally speaking the largest employer is most beneficial to the country. It creates more wealth, pays more tax and provides much higher resources to the country and that’s before we talk about the mega benefits the required supply chain provides for the country.
