I agree with your assessment of the word career. I spent 17 years in the food service industry: catering, waitressing, food running, etc. I would say that for the middle decade (years 4 to 14) this was my career. I wanted to work my way up the food chain to management and eventually open my own place. Then it became a

Shoot. Where was this when I was throwing keggers! I lived with five girls, and two of them would always disappear the morning after a party. This could eliminate the hard feelings that arise from people shirking responsibility.

That's an excellent idea. Maybe that would help me write the paper that I don't want to write.

Holy cow, that's awesome! I think that if I remotely cared about the study I'm writing about, this paper wouldn't seem like a chore. Here's to next weekend!

I hear you. I have a 20+ pager due in a week and half. I basically need to rewrite all of it. Can I just say that I hate, not loathe, hate APA style. I'm old and stuck in my ways. MLA for life!

I technically don't have free time, but I am forcing myself to not spend all of my time on school stuff. It's been great for stress relief.

I'm stuck doing some oh-so-fun reading for school: Classics in Mathematics Education Research. Yay! So, in order to keep my sanity I started rereading The Gunslinger by Stephen King. I have read it since I was 18, so 17 years ago. I'm kind of excited to get back into the series in my free time.

I hear you. I have my grandfather's very German-looking nose. In high school, when every kid's nose is bigger than their face, I hated it. Now that I'm older and have grown into it, I wouldn't change it for the world.

There have also been blinds on CDAN over the years about her hooking up with Leonardo DiCaprio as well.

It's not really that much. That was just the first link that I clicked on Amazon. I usually get it for around $8 a stick.

My boss has a daughter named Scully! They should team up.

I graduated high school in a class of 27 students. There were four Angelas in my class alone.

This is not just true for Indian weddings. Years ago I was a bridesmaid in a Cambodian/Chinese wedding. The family rented traditional Khmer wedding attire for all of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, the groom, and the bride - who changed seven times during the all-day ceremony. She told me that renting everything -

As mentioned by some of the other posters: All-Clad! My sister got me a set off of E-Bay years ago, so deals do exist. I'll also second the Revereware copper-bottomed pans. We inherited some from my late grandfather-in-law when we moved him out of his retirement community into a different abode. Third, don't poo poo

Been there, done that! I love baking, but I can't stand having other people in the kitchen with me while I'm mixing my ingredients. It's too easy to lose track of what I've done.

I've seen that episode of the show a couple of times. They make it look really easy to make!

Don't feel bad, I only attended one Iowa football game and two Iowa basketball games during my five years in Iowa City. I don't even know how many ISU football, basketball, volleyball games I've been to.

You bet! I grew 80 miles north of Omaha, so my town is pretty evenly divided between Nebraska and ISU fans. My Facebook newsfeed is awash in red on game days. I have a question that maybe you can answer - is it true that the stadium in Lincoln becomes the third largest "city" on game days?

Same here. My older sister did go to grad school at UNI, so we have all three state school covered.
