if you haven't read gigi d.g.'s lady of the shard (https://gigidigi.itch.io/lady) you are doing yourself a disservice, it's unbelievably good and i cannot recommend it enough

1 FKA twigs - M3LL155X
2 Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
3 Bjork - Vulnicura
4 Joanna Newsom - Divers
5 Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden of Delete
6 Grimes - Art Angels
7 U.S. Girls - Half Free
8 Julia Holter - Have You In My Wilderness
9 Jenny Hval - Apocalypse, girl
10 Ought - Sun Coming Down

also god i cant wait for the spinoff of just alana's incredible outfits for an hour

other than maybe not totally agreeing with the musical choice at the end helllllllllll fucking yeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss go to hell/god bless you nbc

"It's dark on the other side and only madness awaits.

halfway through this episode i was like "THIS IS SO GOOD" and by the end of the episode i was like "THIS IS SO FUCKED"

imho this was easily an A-, if not an outright A, episode for me. i love these powerful gay space rocks

ok that's actually fair and i agree with most of what you're saying, i was maybe getting overly defensive bc i'm starting to feel a little skeeved out when people seem to think that having a character's minority identity be as minimized as possible so it's super clear that they're just like everyone else!!!! is always

sure but what if it keeps having gay shit in it and it's actually not a big deal

i have nothing to add except *violently screaming and crying and pounding my fists on the floor*

also!!!!! Witchy by Ariel Ries (a current fav), Demon Street by Aliza Layne, Brainchild by Suzanne Geary, Monster Pulse by Magnolia Pearl, and seconding the rec for Cucumber Quest, Monsterkind and Jailbird shit i might read too many comics

I kinda wish it wasn't because I think Mark Kozelek is an really unpleasant dude but my pick would still have to be "Carissa" by Sun Kil Moon (honourable mentions going to "Blockbuster Night pt. 1" - Run the Jewels, "Never Catch Me" - Flying Lotus, "Infernal Fantasy" - Owen Pallett, and "Music For Steamed Rocks" -

i'm so happy to have an excuse to talk about webcomics so basically please read Paranatural, Cucumber Quest, and Monsterkind. Paranatural is my personal favourite with a fantastic balance of comedy and emotional moments in the more recent stuff and just finished it's best chapter so far but both it and Monsterkind

One time after a show I was able to get Phil Elverum (of the Microphones and Mount Eerie) to sign my copy of Mount Eerie pts 6 & 7 and after signing it he began to draw squiggles all over claiming he was adding "weather".

anyone else catch the Otaku cameo during Jinora's ceremony?

honest to god, i don't think anything else has put me in that much pain just from laughing

i've always found comedies where the story is not hugely important such as 30 Rock (or Nichijou if you are also a horrible anime nerd) comforting, but if i'm in the mood for something more melancholic, Eternal Sunshine always hits the spot every single time i watch it

I will say that I'm not very happy with the Waluigi hate, but the Bowser review is truly on point
