I’m trying to understand the trauma piece. “OMG, 2 of my coworkers were fucking!” is not a traumatic experience. It’s basically every day life(for us normies that work with more than about 5-10 people). I get for the other 3, they’re worried about the company that they’ve built up with the 4th guy and how his actions

The Right Stuff...because “People Who Need to Make Other People Feel Shitty to Feel Good about Themselves” was just too much of a mouthful.

Is it pretty much concensus that “Boss Bitch” or the seemingly less apparent “Girl Boss” just describes toxic sociopaths that take advantage of being women to promote their personal brand?

I’m very much over her “be completely toxic trash but then run and fail to show up at any possible confrontation about it.” Real Housewives-levels toxic drama only works because they show up and have arguments and fights. She just avoids everyone but continues to opine how they’re all scared of her but don’t give her

So this... bothered you deeply?  A sick joke at a halloween party?  Tasteless even, sure.  But who cares enough to want a public apology?

Yeah it’s a sick joke... at a halloween party.  Does not ruffle my feathers.

For sure- the day she died the headlines were like “Hey who had July 2011?” The deathwatch on her was sad and scary. Poor girl had such issues and people exploited her while she was living, while she was actively dying, and after she died. Addiction is terrible, and she could have been helped maybe.

Seriously. If you do, you need to have a serious look inward, and maybe get some therapy. Or at the very least some hobbies so you can do something more useful with your time.

Who needs an apology though? It’s obvious he’s only doing it to placate the people who still give a shit about this 11 years later. This obsession with people apologizing the right way (which let’s face it, never happens because the people offended by this don’t want to accept an apology however nice it is, or to ever

I’m kind of baffled that people care so much about that sort of thing. I mean, it’s pretty obvious NPH is bitchy. Either accept that or just personally cancel him and never watch anything of his again and get on with your life. It’s really not so hard.

“Finally” implies people were waiting for an apology with bated breath, and I imagine even the most oversensitive outrageophile with all the free time in the world had gotten over the Amy Winehouse cake in the 11 years since it occurred, no?

Not at all defending NPH here because he seems like a creep and that “cake” is revolting in every way, but I do remember there being a absolutely crazy number of people dressed as Amy Winehouse zombies that Halloween with needles sticking out of their arms and so on. There was a real disrespect for her very shortly

I don’t see anyone defending NPH, it’s that this comes up every few years (the last time was for the Lemony snicket Netflix series) for ??? reasons. Is it because the “Comedians Getting Slapped” thing is played out, or society needs to pretend that it isn’t misogynist after the way it’s treating Amber Heard (I think

I literally cannot, in any shape or fashion, imagine caring about a cake that one random celeb had made that mocked another random celeb from ten years ago.

Yes but every 10 years a new generation will make it an issue again.

Were people genuinely upset about this? It’s a cake at a halloween party, perfect place for a morbid joke. I mean, are we this sensitive?

To be honest, I’m way more offended over Chris Evans joking and smiling with Senator Mike Lee (Utah) (R) not two fucking days after the asshole *defended* Georgia’s new voting restrictions because of “2020 Election Fraud”.

Every unstable, controlling man is “harmless” until the woman turns up injured or worse. And then it’s that she somehow caused it.

What you’re calling “work” may not be sitting around eating bonbons, but KK absolutely meets the definition of a socialite, and being a socialite and having a career are not mutually exclusive anyway. Lots of socialites use their social position as a launching pad for careers (interior decorator is a favorite), which

Someone said it well last week: “Jezebel isn’t even trying anymore.”
