They both struggle to be emotionally upfront with each other which both explains the undeclared nature of their relationship as well as is one of the things they connect over.

We have no idea how most of this plays out. Most prequels are dumb because the writers don’t care about character and narrative logic, so all there is to care about is “who dies and who lives” but here we are literally getting to see character motivations get built, we are filling out a world with details that inform

You are allowed your opinion, but I hate your opinion lol.

To me this show is great because like the scene with the explosives. At any moment something truly could blow up. Where as most shows just do tease, tease, fireworks, tease, tease, fireworks. This show exists in the fireworks factory where most of the time the fireworks don’t go off, but you know at any point they

Speaking of interesting shot compositions, all the wide mural like shots you talk about made the close up of Kim in the parking lot that much more jarring. I don’t think we’ve had a uber-close up in conversation like that for a long time.

She’s aware of just how often and how hard his brother trained Jimmy to think he was worthless. Like he didn’t belong. Chuck was his world and Chuck shaped his world into one where everybody secretly looks down on you.

She did it for the thrill, not because it was important. The fact that she didn’t have to do the grift but did it anyway was what’s important about this moment.

It works a little because it’s not a solution that I think the staff at that place would provide. And if a medical professional wanted to give him a response device to operate with his finger it would likely be a white medical tech buzzer thing or something.

And what makes this show so much better is that he totally could have died in that scene. So many shows have characters that are basically immune to death at all times but maybe finales and other characters you can tell are fodder. In this show almost everybody who is put in danger in the universe is in real danger

I think the #cancelsouthpark thing is them trolling but also them inoculating themselves. If they are going to try to be as offensive as possible this season some groups of people who are trying to get comedians fired for words they said might actually try something like that. If you’ve already made the twitter

You forgot “Do you think Hillary would be any better?”

It does but it’s still cool.

The issue with a Kenny death is that Stan and Kyle would have to react and that would break the joke of how nobody notices the school shootings.

South Park sucks this season” - Every SP fan every SP season for the last 15 years.

I think you are going too far particularly about the “push politics” line.

I think you are going too far particularly about the “push politics” line. First it’s not “really easy” to go for a march or to lobby politicians. It’s relatively easy, but it’s a hell of a lot more than the people who roll their eyes and dismiss people on the internet and do nothing else.

You are playing a dangerous game with making condiments fair game. I can imagine grilling up hot dogs for yourself to find exactly 1 teaspon of ketchup left in the container.

I hate to be that guy but early tng was pretty inconsistent too. So lite trek I think is fairly apt.

But is his blind hopefulness and exuberance really a mistake? How he faces life seems more fulfilling and happy than any other people you mentioned except for maybe Todd, and I’d argue that Todd too hasn’t “matured” in the way that is being prescribed.

I’m shocked to find out anybody thinks there is such a thing.
