So you would've been happy with the sketch if one of the dictators was asian? BS.

The world would be a lot better off if people didn't get offended on other people's behalfs. It's not even about fairness and kindness, it's generally about self-importance. People like playing "Social Justice Judge" because it means they and their opinion is important, not because they are that concerned about the

We have to divide our "offended" into 2 categories:
Meaningfully offended vs "I didn't care for it" offended. Sure if you didn't care for it that's fine, but it seems wrong to use "racist" and "offended" for both a sketch that you thought was hacky and also for hate speech and discrimination. Racist and offensive

I gotta be honest, when people end with "Thanks for reading" or "Cheers" or "Have a good life" things like that it almost always comes across as passive-aggressive, if that's truly not your intent just be careful because it comes across that way to many people.

    Hacky =/= Racist.

Yes, his defense of being less uptight about comedy sketches was just code for his secret hateful Israeli agenda.

It wasn't amazing, but the means of the reveal was decent.

I wouldn't go that far, but the whole "golden years" thing is oversold. I'm glad I don't have to sit through Will Ferrel doing that cheerleader bit or Molly Shannon falling over for 3 minutes, or people insisting that mango was ever funny.

If you think that is racist you really need to find better things to do then get offended for no reason.

That sketch didn't land for me either, and Rousey was terrible, but they worked around her and at least did one good thing with her when they beat up that bully. Neither were good episodes, maybe they should be C- and C+ but this episode I think was weeker.

I have contacted a hospital because clearly you must be having a stroke to think Stefon isn't funny.

That's a pretty big assumption. It's possible, but just because we don't see him a lot doesn't mean his a big team playing writer

Come on, Dennis, if you are that wishy-washy on whether something is racist then that should be a big hint that the thing in question isn't racist and you are just looking to complain. Racism is hateful and insulting, you are diminishing actual racism by appropriating the word for instances of whimsy that don't land

I've got way too much Leslie Jones, you can have my extra.

Does every sketch have to be about race? It's become like this overcompensating thing for when people decided SNL was racist. Is this "white people be crazy" that some of these bits hinge on really socially that great a thing anyway?

I feel like "surreal" is almost a relative insult, Mitchel and Webb just had sketches with premises whereas SNL frequently settles for soft-premises and lukewarm bits. That's my biggest SNL pet peeve, when the bits don't have a premise, they are just a kind of jumble of ideas, like the city council or whatever sketch

It's a shame the show fizzled out with the barflys sketch which is a stunt more than it's funny at all. The song sketch could've gone on a bit longer, I liked where it was going, particularly when it hit the moment with Jay Pharaoh's comment. But personally I thought Kevin Roberts was really funny, just the weirdness

There is always a need to be pedantic!

It was, I guess the big difference is where I'm way past the point where I take this show as "prestige drama serious", this show is as realistic as something like "House, MD". It's cheesy without making a point of being cheesy.

Rick making Jesus rest his head on Daryl's shoulder is one of the most charming things the show has done in a long time.
