Well you finally did it. A whole comment page, all about you.
I guess we're left with commenting about commenting.
I assumed we were leading up to commenting on Community.
I hope someone got fired for this blunder!
I just remembered the other big disclaimer: Ramza absolutely has to move first in the fight. Otherwise you won't keep distance from him long enough, he'll close the gap, or get you on the same level as you run up one of the side stairways. So that means some thief / ninja levels before getting there. I like having…
That may be the build I try now that I'm playing it on ipad. I'm still not used to the controls and jumping in and out to check enemy movements and turn order is a pain.
I'm not positive I had auto-potion for the Reaction ability, but that feels possible. Also my first time getting through him, I just wanted to be done. My variant is much more dependent on being able to move around the map to avoid his attacks entirely, which meant a lot of strategic moving. Never let him close…
No worries, just getting past that fight is worth a bit of self indulgence, much moreso sans guide. I did something similar. To be honest I think most people probably had Ramza as a Monk for a while their first time through.
I haven't played Bravely Default, but I've read a bit about it here, and I have to agree with @Drinking_with_Skeletons:disqus above, play a game like FFT or FF Tactics Advanced (2).
I loved it and can easily look past that. It's slow but it's smooth, and the actual mechanics worked just fine. I recall turning being slow, but that's by no means unique to AvP of first person shooters at that time.
You crazy people and your Nintendos and Genesi. I was actually thinking of booting up some retro games this weekend after getting back from a Mother's Day trip. Also you should do something nice for your mother, or at least give her a call. She's a wonderful lady who raised you to be a Gameological commenter.
Oh come on, the real Adam Sandler doesn't know half of those words.
FYI. I don't think they explicitly mention it, but I'm pretty sure they make you bring your own alcohol for newswire.
Stupid British comedies and their attempts to end things at logical stopping points rather than letting them drag out indefinitely as long as they get renewed.*
You used Pikabird against Onypig. It's not very effective.
I can tell you that it's very solid from my run-through. I'm not the biggest South Park fan, but enough to get many (most?) of the references. Being "in" on those jokes and references feel more like a bonus than necessary, though. Ultimately, it's a decently made rpg.
It might be the latter, but either way, eventually they'll get a new cast of writers and illustrators with their own vision and stories and they'll get free license to say "Nope, that's not canon anymore; here's your new comics."
As with all dilemmas of the spirit, I asked my bartender. He said I was fine, and to tip more.
Look, I know that, and everyone else knows that, but if I'm not hopeful now, how are my dreams going to be crushed later?
