Still have mine, still love it, still think it’s hot fast garbage. Nissan please, just kill it already so mine can appreciate some more.
On what kind of track? In a drag race sure, but unless the EN is leaps and bounds ahead of the VN, CTR is in another league when there are turns involved.
Clown cars are supposed to look like that.
You totally ignored the biggest issue with the Elantra.
1st gear:
Are you looking at the right website? I’m on BMW.ca and they have the M2 starting at $76,500. From the first post, I understood that the $60k price for the GR Corolla was in Canada, not the US.
If they sell every one of the GRs (and they will) - it very much doesn’t ‘need’ to have a decent automatic.
$60k is a full $18 000 shy of M2 money. That’s a full ‘second, practical used car’ difference.
Don’t poo poo the H pattern if its not for your anymore!
Ok, that’s fine. I just don’t follow how a FWD based 2 Series is a “better”car objectively. It’s certainly not a future classic like the GRC. And I’m only talking objectively, as anything else is a persons preference and taste (which is fully justified).
The Elantra N isn’t faster than the GR Corolla on the same tires. But yeah, it is cheaper and it is available in an automatic... if that’s something you want?
The most powerful 3 cylinder ever made, mated to a really advanced awd system, rally suspension, carbon roof, etc attached to a great warranty and brand name reliability for under $50K?
I want to like this company but between exploding engines, overpriced immobilizer kits to fix a design flaw, dealers that put the steal in stealership, and now transmissions throwing hissy fits I want nothing to do with them.
been working on them for five years, their quality is horrible. between recalls for thermal events and quick fixes with tape and zipties i would never buy or recommend a hyundai/kia product.
That and the tax credit. Slim picking right now.
Really don’t want to buy a Tesla but yeah, news like this makes it hard to look elsewhere...
Goddamnit, I really want that Elantra N, but they gotta get all this shit sorted first
C’mon Hyundai/Kia, get it together. Hard to convince my other half to spend $60K on your EV when poo poo like this shows up on the news.
god damn the rear end is awful looking but I’d love to have one of these at some point in my life
