It’s too late for me to check that, as I’ve already worked out the problem (detailed in another comment somewhere around here).

You can turn off autorenew in the Nintendo Online settings, though it’s hard to find (no doubt deliberately).

The free signup for Twitch Prime 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 work (see my longer comment below), it just doesn’t work the way Amazon’s help page instructions say it will (you have to brave your way through a signup process that says you’re going to be charged $12.99/mo after a one-month trial). Amazon made a mistake in their

“fucking liar” - overreact much?

None of the above. I am a long-time, primary, full-price Amazon Prime member. And I see only a “Try Twitch Prime” button, which says that it is going to charge me after a 30-day trial. I have registered for a Twitch account, which changes nothing whatsoever.

Bait and Twitch.

Well, it definitely IS the case in the U.S. I wasted 30 precious minutes of my life trying to claim this “free” offer, only to discover that it is complete BS.

Geese are the current incarnation of velociraptors. Look it up!

BTW, I’m a little sad that I’m still in the grays on The Takeout, given that it’s by far my favorite GM site and I’ve long been solidly in the black on others (I had a star on the old version of Kinja). I’m pretty sure I’ve never made an inappropriate comment, and am sometimes genuinely helpful. I mean, what does it

I put all meat/fish leftovers (AND the packaging they came in!) in my freezer until trash day. But then, I have a large chest freezer and can afford the space.

Why won’t this system let me give you 100 stars...

This reminds me of the scene in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘪 when someone (I can’t remember his name) has to commit seppuku because he has cut down the bird that Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise) has hung for several days to “ripen”. Is this/was this not a common practice? (The ripening, I mean.) Surely putrid birds can’t

“back handsprings”... Did you have to write that?! Now I’m going to be having nightmares for a week!

Just don’t buy so-called “whole” poppy seeds (many brands available on Amazon) if you don’t want to feel like you need a trip to the ER. This is a euphemism for unwashed, and it means that the seeds are still coated with a zillion, um, compounds which I have since learned that very foolish people like to enjoy as a

I have a plan for changing the wake word for Echo devices (most convenient with a Dot, or a Raspberry Pi running the Echo software) to anything you want. I haven’t tried it yet, but hey—it’s a plan.

But the description is a bit over the top.

This article 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 nothing.

If I have to do all of this, then I am never, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 going to travel again. As for tipping $10/day/person, I assume you were prepared for the blowback 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 idea would generate and were just trying to stir up controversy.

I grew up with pretty bad astigmatism in one eye, but had no vision correction when I was young because I could see well enough with the other eye. When Lasik came on the scene, I had it done on the astigmatic eye (at The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, so I’m reasonably sure it was done competently). If I cover

They’re dropping in price because the 2018 models have been having severe technical problems (Google it!). I had been all hot to buy one, but have decided to wait for at least the next generation.
