I have the same model, and I hate how the automatic short shifts. I get that they tuned it for how most people drive, which is using low-mid range torque with the turbo engine. I just wish I could rev the thing out a little more. You CAN take it to the redline if you shift manually, but the torque dips after about

I bet Mazda’s safety tech is from back when they refreshed the Mazda 6 in 2018. I say this as a Mazda fan (I own 2 6's), but Mazda is like the Taco Bell of auto manufacturers. Same basic ingredients remixed into slightly different configurations.

I have a 2018 Mazda 6 and I’ve noticed the same thing. Never tried disabling the adaptive cruise though.

Most people don’t know what their time is actually worth. My father in law is a great example. He busts his ass making fantastic money working 12-16 hour days, but won’t hire someone to fix simple issues with his cars or house. Ends up wasting a catastrophic amount of time. Sure, he saves money, but at what cost?

This makes me wonder, at what speed you would need to accelerate in order to bounce your head off the headrest hard enough to knock yourself unconscious?

Now that is a hot take. The Taken King pretty much saved D1.

I always got the feeling that the people who wanted these so-called “Destiny Killers” to succeed the most are Destiny players themselves. At this point we’re in a toxic relationship with the game, but nothing has come along that’s good enough to replace it. It’s like that ex that we keep going back to because when

Yeah, action and choreography are big ones. You can’t replace the exaggerated fluidity and speed that hand-drawn animation can convey.

IMO they need to be treated like any other voice actor or mocap actor. SAG-AFTRA negotiations. Who cares that they’re students? They’re adults, willingly letting their likenesses be used, and they should be compensated appropriately.

There are things an animator’s pen can do that digital effects simply can’t.

$600 is INCREDIBLY low to sell your name and likeness to something like that. I sold a YouTube video I had made to a fast food chain that wanted to use it for an ad campaign, and they paid me $3000. And this was back in 2012!

Best WIRELESS headphones. Can y’all test some wired headphones? Some of us want actual wired cans for music listening. Have a budget cap of $500. There are quite a few wired headphones in the $100-$200 range that would kick the absolute crap out of the most expensive set on this list when it comes to audio quality.

COUNTERPOINT:

It’s less the depth of the story, and more about the fact that nearly every single human character in a fighting game is designed to be as hot as possible.

I feel like including the fighting games would cheapen the experience somewhat.

When DeLorean is the model for how something SHOULD be done, you know you done fucked up.

Also, the number of young annoying kids my friends and I encountered during the early days of Xbox Live made me want to stay FAR away, even though the PS3 had inferior online experiences. It’s always seemed to me that Xboxes have always been something bought for kids, and Playstations were what adults more often

Same. I grabbed mine at the end of 2022 because it because easily accessible. I tried the whole Twitter-restock-account-stalking, but that got old REAL fast. And waiting for an invite code from Sony was irritating.

For consumer products, sure. But that’s not indicative of what a manufacturer like Sony would have to pay for their hardware. We’re getting price gouged like CRAZY on GPUs. IIRC the PS5 GPU is about as powerful as a 3070, which are still going for around $400 on the low end. The PS5 launched when NVME’s were still

last gen consoles were still using slow as molasses HDD’s despite SSD’s being prevalent in the PC world.
