The south never saw a lost cause it wouldn’t commit to.

I’m having Half-Life flashbacks
PC Mag still exists??!!
Surely you jest. GM can’t install a manual in a base CT-4. Hell, it won’t even fit into a V unless the Blackwing badge is attached. What you propose is madness. Madness, I say!
It really shouldn’t be hard to flip a Land Cruiser in today’s world.
“In this country, you’re innocent until proven guilty” which is why I pulled a gun on an innocent man until he proved he wasn’t guilty. Flawless victory.
I can do you better on model years: ‘16, ‘13, ‘12, ‘10, ‘04, ‘01, and a not-so-lovely ‘94 Toyota half-ton.
My buddy had a Kia Rio in 2003-4ish that didn’t even have power steering. I loved driving that thing, it felt so much more connected to the road than any other car I’d driven.
Remember, and I can’t stress this enough, to disconnect the battery. IIRC, certain Mercedes do a brake test where the caliper will check the distance from the rotor whenever the door is opened. This allows the computer to know the life of the brake pads and how much pressure needs to be applied in an emergency.…
It’s a slippery slope using slippery soap, using mettle to meddle a metal pedal that peddles some metal.
I replied to your post yesterday and its gone, not sure why.
I live in Shanghai and there are some amazing Chinese cars. Lots of Teslas here but they look a bit old fashioned compared to local cars. I don’t hear of any huge quality issues with Chinese cars- they’ve got much better and are very competitive. Lynk % Co. aren’t the best Chinese car... BYD has a very good reputation…
This is a 1st Gen Cybertruck. Lets talk about 1st Gen Roadster, or how about 1st Gen Model S. Tesla has done very well with fine tuning issues over iterations of products. They are manufacturing vehicles totally different than other vehicle manufacturers with automation etc. Ignore Musk. If you stop buying his…
Plus there could be high tariffs on them no matter which old dude wins this year's election. I'm sure Elon would be more than comfortable with that kind of government "overreach."
Chinese EVs won’t be ready for the NA luxury market, but all the OE’s are leaving the door wide open for a company to come in with an even mediocre “cheap” new car competitor.
BYD and XPENG already have competitive product ready it is just not being sold in the US yet. I still love my Leaf SL Plus...made by an automotive company. It is solid and runs well with no issues. Sure it doesn’t have the range of the Teslas, but as a second car, it doesn’t need it.
I think the last part says it all though: Tesla isn’t winning any new customers, and is probably alienating the existing ones. Everyone who woulda bought one has, and everyone else is content waiting those five years for a viable alternative.
I don’t think that the CT was rushed has anything to do with how it is completely misconceived as a mass market product. It’s expensive and unappealing.
Recently discussed them with a brother-in-law and he let no criticism or joke go undisputed. He has one of the cars and is on the waitlist for the cybertruck.
I have a Q60. It's not great. Not terrible, but definitely not great.
