I feel like the premise of this article is bullshit. Maybe the retailers consider self-checkout to be a disaster but from where I’m standing as a consumer it’s been amazing. I don’t often come across stores that do *not* have self-checkout, but when I do, I get irritated AF because while the store might have 7-8

To be fair, even ICE vehicles have been struggling in this weather. The neighbor’s kids have to keep their cars in the driveway and this morning they barely cranked over.

Although they *did* eventually crank over.

I’ve had a 2nd gen QX50 as a dealership loaner (I’m on my 4th Infiniti: feel free to judge)

It was...disappointing. Mostly the powertrain. The turbo-4 is underpowered and sounds miserable while the CVT is straight trash.

They should bring back the VQ37 and the 7AT gearbox.

This past weekend I was driving NB on IL Rt. 47 in Elburn, IL and drove past “Main Street Road” and I struggled to wrap my head around it.

FWD NA for that price? ND.

Even if it had the 4G63 and AWD that price is a hell of a nostalgia play.

I mean, are these forbidden fruit? Really?

The RS4 Avant is forbidden fruit.  The R34 GT-R was forbidden fruit.  These are two vehicles that are bland and derivative economy cars that I would never consider even if they were available in NA.

Sadly, these are worthless against norovirus/rotavirus.  Wash your hands.

Everyone’s outraged...

...but not enough to divest.

Infiniti is the “Dollar Store” luxury brand, and I’m fine with that.

Something to consider is that the depreciation only matters if you plan to sell after a few years. I also think overall brand reliability factors into it as well.

I just bought a brand new ‘23 QX80 (was not my 1st or even 3rd choice, but it was the wife’s turn to pick) and I expect 10-12 years and 150k miles out of

I’m 10 years (and 115k miles) into the ownership (I’m the second owner) on my ‘11 E90 335i and it’s been pretty damn reliable. Mind you, I have the N55 motor without the fuel pump issues and I lost the water pump at 60k (under warranty), I also make sure regular maintenance gets done, but I suppose some people can get

Came her for this. So many cringeworthy moments in a new car showroom. But this one is the one that my wife won’t let me forget

I have a black ‘06 R171 SLK280 6MT with similar mileage and is in waaay better shape cosmetically (and likely mechanically) that’s only worth $6-7k.

ND.

Given a chance, I’ll take a window seat all day, and my family members fight over them during bookings.

But I get up to pee something like 7,244 times* on average during a flight so I will even pay extra to secure an aisle seat so I’m not constantly climbing over strangers.

*an exaggeration, but it’s at least once

I mean, why can’t they just block pedestrian access to the bridges while the race is actively going on?  The bridges are closed for what, 2-3 hours?

They will occasionally fail on higher mileage cars. And by fail I mean that they no longer operate efficiently enough for the ECU to be satisfied and you get a CEL. I’ve had 2 fail on me across 11 cars over 25 years (all OBDII) and both times the mileage was 130k+. They don’t fall out or anything and the car doesn’t

For the most part, run flats are garbage. More expensive, they often wear faster, and have a harsher ride.  Also, there are scenarios where even a run flat can get shredded beyond drivability.

I don’t know what the answer is here, but it certainly is not “run flat tires for all the cars”

I’m not sure this had anything to do with the donut he was on but rather everything to do with the fact that he was driving like a complete asshat.

That said, don’t go on the highway with a donut, kids.

I don’t think this is victim blaming. Pedestrians need to pay attention as well. I work in downtown Chicago - I don’t take *any* vehicle movement for granted. Right turn, left turn, going straight, red light, green light...doesn’t matter. If there is a vehicle, I have to assume it will not stop, and if it’s a CTA bus

Keep the left turn arrow, but during off-peak hours (i.e. not rush hour) instead of it going red, it should flash yellow to allow cars to go through when there is no oncoming traffic.  Or always keep it red when sight lines are garbage.
