I know folks are throwing shade because it looks boring, and while they’re not exactly wrong, I would rock this car, in this exact color scheme, in my garage next to a NISMO Z in the exact same color scheme as a “his and hers” setup for the wife and I.  Assuming we can get both in a 6MT (which I’m not sure would be

Super excited for what looks like a spectacular buy (I will forever have a soft spot for the Z32)...but...

My wife’s friend is a young widow with 3 kids whose Pacifica is on its last legs.  An $8k 300ZX is not the answer to her problem, and I suspect that is going to be the case for 90-95% of the shoppers out there.

That all makes a lot of sense.  But then there is the part about biking places. How does that work when it’s 107?  Do eBikes make it tolerable?

this is exactly why I’m not getting a new car.  I have a junior in high school driving my E90 so don’t want her in a new car, but also, she’s going off to college in 2 years which will be the equivalent of 2 car payments

It’s me.

I’m the reason they’re killing it.

I kept saying “I really want and plan to buy a G70 6MT”...and then...I never did. I test drove one. Loved it. But I continue to hold on to my 12 year old E90 and don’t think I’ll be getting a new car any time soon.

I’m sorry.

This is why I mountain bike and haven’t let my buddies talk me into buying a road bike.

Mountain biking is dangerous, but not “run over by a car” dangerous.

That’s what an IDP is for, it translates the native language on the license into another language like English or French or Spanish. I got an IDP last December for my trip to France, and it simply translates the field names.

That said, my IDP looks about as official as a Fisher Price DL and had I been pulled over in

The Chicago White Sox license plates added 10hp.

#fact

I went snowmobiling for the very first time about a year and a half ago. Rented a sled in New Hampshire with a buddy who goes regularly and it was a hoot...

...but holy cow those machines stunk something fierce. I’m guessing I was on a two stroke (shame on me for not knowing) and the exhaust fumes were killing me every

Is NACS different than what the Europeans use?  Is this going to be one of those situations where cost is driven up because VW has to put 1 type of charging port in EDM ID.4s and another type in USDM ID4s?

Oh man, I miss the days of being able to crash out anywhere...back of a humvee, back of a chinook, underneath a 5-ton or deuce...

now my soft civilian ass requires soft bedding and a quiet environment

I fly almost exclusively under conditions where I don’t have to pay to check a bag but I still won’t check a bag unless I absolutely have to or I don’t care if I lose everything in the checked bag.

I’m also convinced, purely from anecdotal evidence from flying for work for years that part of the carry-on conundrum is

Concur. This wasn’t necessarily a risky decision, but possibly the only decision. Nose landings happen more often than you would think (mostly with smaller, private aircraft) and there is a specific procedure for it when it occurs.

It’s scary but almost never results in loss of life.

We’re on our 3rd Infiniti: a ‘14 QX60. Before that we had an ‘07 QX56 alongside an ‘03 G35 Coupe 6MT

For comparisons sake, we also currently have an ‘11 E90 and an ‘06 R171 SLK

Compared to the German cars, the Infinitis are simply not at the same level. They’re tarted up Nissans, and you know what? That’s ok.

I’ve always

yes, perhaps even more so due to the much higher pressures.

I live in the Chicago metro area and sadly, the response from CPD isn’t all that uncommon. A friend of mine was the victim of a hit and run in River North (she’s ok now) and while the police eventually identified the driver and vehicle, they never charged him for some reason and eventually stopped answering her phone

Based on the appearance of the bus in the video, the fact that it was uninsured, and the fact that the driver didn’t have a driver’s license I’m going to guess this was more of a “hey, I know a guy who owns an old short bus” than a “hey let’s reserve a party bus through a party bus company” type of situation.

oh for sure, I’m not lamenting the tech, just lamenting the fact that it won’t be widespread before my bike riding days are done

Even if they figure out the tech to detect cyclists, it’s going to be the 19 year old high school drop out in the clapped out ‘99 Chevy Cavalier that gets me, not the middle aged mom in the ‘24 X5

Spoken like someone who doesn’t ride either.
