I’ve had my Apple Watch go into “fall mode” after I’ve eaten shit while mountain biking. After I’ve dusted myself off and made sure I didn’t break anything, I’ve started riding again and my watch starts beeping at me at which time I tell it I’m ok and to cancel EMS.

Seems you could do the same for the phone? If it

I dunno man. Not hard to add the “-ah” to the end of “Porsh”

But I’m also not going to go around saying “Folksvagen” or “bay em vay”

It’s not just you.  I saw that top down and immediately thought of the Charger/Challenger

I see what you did there

You can’t know our pressures, and stresses, despite how much you think you do. There are things we deal with, questions we ask of ourselves and discussions we have with our friends, that you wouldn’t be able to understand.

I just looked up Bouncie as well.  Looks like it’s tough to hide.  A smart thief or carjacker could unplug it within minutes.

NASCAR has published a map of the course.

This checks out. Classic Chicago Chenanigans.

Lolla is bad enough. This is going to suck for those of us who work downtown, especially in buildings immediately adjacent to Grant Park.

But...I’m also morbidly curious on how the massive potholes on Jackson Blvd (and somewhat on Balbo) are going to impact the race...should

maybe if it was it mint condition, had half the miles, and a working top. for my mom.

but at this price, with this mileage, and a busted top?  ND

Jeebus. That right bank on short final...woof.

I suppose it’s not much different than a side slip for a crosswind landing, but still...scary.

I cringe every time I watch a video where someone does a cold start and then proceeds to rev the motor waaaay before it’s even close to full operating temperature.

In this video they don’t seem to be reving it to high, but still...

meh. this happens to me all the time. I’ve been riding on Shimano SPD clipless pedals for 25 years and I’ll still sometimes not get my shoe off the pedal in time.

I sort of wonder if our current WFH trend is contributing to this. I just about cried when I filled up my E90 w/ 93 octane (in the Chicago suburbs) and it was $6.40/gal (at Costco!) but then looked at my fuel log and saw that the last time I put fuel in the car was *April 28th*

So fuel is twice the price of

I saw the new Tundra at the Chicago Auto Show this past winter, and I could have sworn the Toyota rep said there would be a plug-in hybrid option for the Tundra, but that she wasn’t able to confirm if that drivetrain would make it into the Sequoia.

Did I misunderstand her?  I can’t seem to find any literature about a

This.

I’m in my 40s and have been riding since my teens and really dig H-D bikes, I’ve rented various models while on vacation and have long thought about buying one. I also dig dirt bikes and metric sport bikes, and have owned a couple of those over the years.

There is a cultural aspect to H-Ds that has really been

I recently saw a ‘88-’90 era Chevy Cavalier Z-24 in the parking lot of the apartment complex near my parent’s house.

so carriers are hiring foreign pilots

I’m curious what they mean by “Chicago”.  Do they mean homes within the city limits?  Homes within Cook Co.?  Homes within the “collar” counties (which is effectively the entire metro area)?

Can you feel the weight/heft of it when driving it in the upper limits (>= 7/10ths)?

I had a G35C 6MT for a decade and loved that car, but even with the factory 4 pot Brembos and Pilot Sport tires, it didn’t have enough brake or tire for its weight and it just “felt heavy” during spirited driving close to the limits.

I got the impression from the docu that all of that was complete, or mostly complete, but I assume they need to test it all heavily.
