Hmm... I wonder where they could find something like that. Oh wait, I know!

Came for some undercarriage carnage, stayed for the adorable little girl.

Capitalism. Market Forces. Supply & Demand*

Hey, hey, hey...there is no need for that sort of blanket discrimination. Volvo makes some really fun cars, like the V60 Polestar or even the old school 850R. Not all Volvo drivers are douches.

I engine brake all. the. time. But I rev-match when I do it, to minimize wear and tear. If I’m on my game I downshift as quickly as I upshift with no noticeable change for the passengers except the sound of the engine.

I realize this is apples to oranges, but I had a G35C for a decade, and I’m now 5.5 years into my E90 (335i) ownership and I can say that I had more warranty issues with the G than I’ve had with my Bimmer.

They put one of these in at IL Rt. 59 and I-88 in the Chicago area a few years back. Felt a little goofy at first, and my wife was like “WTF?” but I assumed (correctly) at the time that someone somewhere had data showing it was safer.

I love the heritage formation he flies with the A-1 and P-51.  You can see (and hear) him really working the throttle during the pass.  He’s probably right at the edge of stall the entire time.

This is a bit of a stunt.  If you live in the city, you probably aren’t driving your car much so this whole thing works.  If, like me, you commute to the city from the suburbs, giving up the car isn’t going to work at all (I’m not taking a Lyft each day to the Metra station).  <shrug>

Sure, there were a few threads on freshalloy and g35driver, etc. that mapped Infiniti part numbers to Nissan part numbers, and after market is always an option.  If you’re willing to wrench yourself you can save a ton of money.  But for example, my G had the factory Brembos.  The pads and rotors were super expensive

I owned a G for 10 years. I wouldn’t necessarily classify the parts as ‘cheap’. If you happen to know the Nissan part number for a part (and no, they don’t share part numbers) you might be able to save 10% at the Nissan parts counter as opposed to the Infiniti counter.

zomg what is she doing to that E90 M-Sport?

Not that uncommon.  I’ve worked in buildings along the river for 15 years now and I think it happens at least once a year.

It’s to let the sail boats through.  Most boats go through just fine.

Why does everyone shit on Tesla?  I can’t afford any of their cars, but I really want to see them succeed.

Trying to understand why this is a Jalopnik article. Maybe the headline should have been:

No, but I think M3 buyers might be interested in a used M5.  That’s a more accurate comparison here.

If you bought one at $78k instead of getting a lightly used Model S, you get what you deserve

That’s ok, Hyundai will your back if you’re willing to go with the smaller motor.

I can only imagine what the interior of that cabin smells like.
