I own the DVDs and watched the blu-ray.  The added resolution of the blu-ray is nice and although it causes the special effects and props to stand out more I would still recommend them.

MINOR SPOILER:
Dany never fooled around with Missandei, it was one of her Dothraki handmaidens.

Show Brienne is too pretty.  Brienne is supposed to be ugly but I guess its impossible to find unattractive women in show-business.

Did they edit the * out?  I don't see it.

(SPOILERS FOR LATER BOOKS)
I listened to the audiobooks where "whites" and "wights" are homonyms.  It wasn't until a 2nd listen to the series that I was clear on the difference between the two.
Other things I missed the first time around. Ser Loras is gay, , the Lanisters involvement with Robb's new inlaws,  the hound

I subscribe to HBO then download it.  Its just more convenient as a computer file.

Shipping isn't about which paring is best supported by cannon, its which one a fan most wants to imagine.

Well ISIS used to be a lot bigger,  they could add back in and expand the characters of additional personnel.

I thought it was alright.  The plot could have been trimmed down and put into a regular episode.

I've found the governor's character to be pretty consistent.  He is pretty much a cult leader.  He likes having and exercising power over others.  He likes running Woodberry.  He enjoys the privileges of leadership, alcohol, women, respect.  He works to make Woodberry a pleasant place for him to live.  This is made

I am watching 1x06 (Thank God it's Friday Again) for next weeks discussion and I thought I would post some advice for other viewers.  Turn on captions.  Although I have seen this twice before, I never could make out the loudspeaker announcements.  They aren't critical to understanding the plot, but the plotting and

When the show switches from puppet to CGI it can be pretty noticeable, but you should cut the creators some slack here if you are watching the blu-ray.  The show was originally created for broadcast on SD and for release on DVD, so all the CGI was rendered at SD resolutions.  For the blu-ray release, they

Perhaps brain switching technology isn't a secret.

I feel like cars would be common, but gas would be rare.  I think the walkers may have just been used to cover the withdraw.  I think it was also nice f-u to the prison gang.  They did all that work to clean out a space and lost people doing it.  Like throwing a bit of mud on a freshly washed car.

It was the first time they had to shoot while taking cover from incoming fire.  In situations like that accuracy drops to the point where only 1 in 1000 rounds hits someone.  Most shots are fired just to make the other guy nervous and reduce his ability to take careful aim.
Their accuracy in other situations is a bit

Archer a womanizing man whore, but for Katya he genuinely changes (some).  He is willing to commit, he accepts her cyborg nature, supports her against his mother, and he seems to genuinely think about someone else's needs.  She even loves Archer back. When she calls he drops whatever he is doing to come to her aid.

If the pig was dead it wasn't rape, although it might count as an FDA code violation.

Barry, Todd doesn't seem to like us.  What should we do? I dunno Other Barry, I guess we should get rid of the anti-cyborgist.

Its just really easy to burn through $40 dollars in only a few hours of reading.  Not so bad as an adult with a salary, but in high school the cost of big event crossovers was really prohibitive.  If an author started selling all his books for $60 it would probably affect how strongly I recommend him to friends.

I think Patrice could work a series regular.  They would to give her some more agency and motivations but I would enjoy her more than half the temporary S.O.s that have stuck around for a season.
