I've found that I still feel guilty even if I pay above $25 for a bundle. it's those sliders that let you change the amounts that go to humble, the developer and charity. It makes me feel like I am always short shrifting somebody, especially when I see the charity slider go down because I raised the developer…
I know right? that intro was really intense.
Thanks. I'm not a designer or programmer, but I would gladly be a team assistant just to be involved.
How did you find performing sequence commands like Sabin's blitz techniques on the touch screen?
Do the teams in game jams have something like a producer role? I do non-game media production, and really want to try it for a game. However it seems like the game jams are so small scale that a producer would be superfluous. Anyone here know if that is the case?
As a vocal lover of FFVI your opinion about this surprises me. It reminds me that I should check out this port before I dismiss it. That being said, the new graphics are especially bothersome because it prevents me from associating the in-game graphics with the fantastic original concept art. The look of the original…
It would be great to see that narrative take more prominence in our culture. It makes great creative works seem so much more attainable.
I've also loved the documentary series, and for many of the reasons you outline. It is so illuminating to see the team address issues. While it makes me appreciate the artistic achievement of the completed game, it also shows that the team solves problems like most working teams solve problems. It's great to see…
The sound design is magnificent too. The orchestral score was really powerful, but it was woven into the background soundscape so well that it I didn't feel like it made a huge, jarring entrance during the cut scenes. It seemed to subtly rise up and fade back perfectly.
If the pixelated backgrounds were an intentional choice it seems like it should have been executed more overtly. I wonder if they played with making the backgrounds so pixelated that they resembled monkey island scenery, then felt like it compromised the art too much, then backed up into this awkward middle ground.
I love Monkey Island and Sam and Max. I want to get into the Walking Dead so, so badly, but my sad old mac can't handle it.
That is a very fair and reasoned thing to do. If anyone else is left hesitant about buying part 1 do what @tfeatherston12:disqus is doing.
Our collective binge watching of content through Netflix and it's ilk may influence your tolerance for the segmented story. I blazed through the game in one sitting and recoiled at what felt like a very abrupt ending. My inability to immediately proceed was a big letdown. But this is because I never experience…
"Would you rather have a 3,000 dollar wonder machine or a 300,000 dollar poop machine?"
That is a good point, thanks.
I think that is my best strategy. My current mac is 6 years old, so I think I should dichotimize the debate between super nice super expensive new mac or super nice and relatively cheap gaming PC.
I just have an old macbook now. So I would need to get almost all of the peripheries. We can get an Ed discount. thanks for reminding me about that.
It's a pretty punishing game. I never feel good after playing it.
those are some sweet moves. thanks man.
