“Baby It’s Cold Outside (Because Global Warming is a Hoax Invented by the Jewish Conspiracy)”.

there is something to be said for that- she probably was aware rich people give money to colleges and they get their dumb shit kids in (see Kushner, Jared.) But she probably never considered that you did that by donating a few million for an endowment rather than putting in a scam play. its not like they didn’t have

Actually though ‘Jailhouse Rock’ would be more appropriate for Jesse and the Rippers.

the internet says that between her and her husband they’re worth over 100 million. that’s well into ‘very rich’ territory.

You have to admit bringing Mr. Woodchuck in as a character witness was a gutsy move.

My favorite Mondegreen lyric ever isn’t mine: the cover band I sing with learned “Panama” a few years back and our guitarist was shocked when he heard me sing the lyric, “. . . reach down between my legs and ease the seat back.”
“Are those the real lyrics?” he asked bewilderedly.
“Yep. What did you think they were?”
“. .

I thought the line of “You Oughta Know” was “the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me.” I always pictured a really ugly teddy bear.

Yeah, this was pretty bad. A bunch of 8 year olds misheard something? Inconceivable!

What in holy hell are you talking about? 18 is the legal age of consent in most states (some are lower than that), 21 is well over the age of consent. Nobody is losing their job over dating someone 21 years old, nobody is being accused of grooming for assault, except maybe by hysterical online commentators. They might

Side question for the world. What do you do with a sex swing you no longer want?

I also don’t think its “don’t find others particularly attractive” and more “I don’t think about anyone else romantically.”

Presumably his dead father is a Boomer, so what would really befit his generation is to hoard all the porn that he got on the cheap, not let anyone else have any and then bemoan the kids today for not working for their porn like he did.

Agreed.  Also interesting is the (deeply enduring) racial legacy of mob movies.  Somehow, white America can view the American mob as distinct and even virtuous, when their exact black or Hispanic equivalents are looked at as venal, vile, and evil.  I don’t blame the movie for it, per se - it accurately reflected its

“I can’t think of a popular work that existed both as high art and cheap pop before this one.”

I don’t know that reading the movie “wrong” is really anyone’s fault other than the filmmakers (and ultimately Puzo’s). The film doesn’t come off properly as a tragedy—just about everyone Michael kills is trying to kill him or his father; Tessio, Paulie, and Carlo are traitors; so the whole thing comes off as an

I believe Bridgett Fonda has a nude scene. So no, you will not be disappointed.

Nobody even talks about how badass Boba Fett is. The closest anyone gets to saying anything about him is when Han goes “Boba Fett? Where?” during the sail barge fight.

It seems to me the shock value of the horse’s head had a major part in the movie’s success. And the single catchphrase “...an offer he can’t refuse...” was a lot of the rest of it. But in retrospect, as an adult, the way the movie disappeared thugs beating up loan sharks and extortionists hurting businessmen and pimps

Then using the name she had in that role might have been a good idea.

She’s had a fairly underrated career. She went from child star, to teen star, to young adult, to mature actress with no real breaks or transitional points along the way. That’s hella impressive and I’m glad she’s actually being recognized.
