Just because a wine isn’t “10+ years old” does not mean that it couldn’t benefit from decanting. If a quality wine with promising structure is still “young”, decanting can be very beneficial, allowing the wine to “open up” when it otherwise hasn’t had time to do so in the bottle quite yet.
