I really fucking hope Mitsubishi brings the Delica stateside one of these days.

+1 to this.  The second gen Forester is probably one of my favorite Subarus of all time in terms of looks.  Wish the new Forester was more similar to it as opposed to leaning more toward the bloated-SUV side of things.

Agreed on all counts, and I like the dated interior personally.  Give me some analog gauges that aren’t always lit up so you can actually remember to turn the headlights on, and the basics for a truck, and you can’t go wrong.  Especially when coupled with the excellent visibility that everything seems to have gotten

Need for Speed: High Stakes has one of the more memorable intros for me.  It’s pretty intense!

Hot Pursuit 2 is still my favorite Need for Speed game of all time. As far as intros go, however, Need for Speed: High Stakes deserves a mention too!

I’m glad the Frontier is still soldiering on.  A simple, cheap, honest truck that isn’t insanely bloated or overly-tall like most of its competitors these days.

It’s gorgeous to say the very least.  I hope there’s more in store for the Continental - if I ever get into the wage bracket required to afford one (unless they stick around on the used market for a bit, which would be nice) I’d definitely be happy with it.

Either way, sounds like a hell of a lot of fun! :D

I ‘spose I was referring more so to a focus on low-end torque and enough to get a boat moving as opposed to something that would break a land-speed record.

Off topic, but I wish that Buick still had at least one traditional, floaty-landyacht in their stable. Not everything needs to have tightly tuned suspension, plenty of horsepower, and a comparatively harsh ride - some days (and some roads) are just meant for a meandering cruise.

That’s a silly reason to swear off of a car that you otherwise like. Buick has had some awesome stuff in their stable over the years, from landyachts to full on muscle cars.

Keep us posted!

I agree - you’d think with the ability to have infinite possibilities when it comes to layouts would be conducive to having at least some starkly different options.

I’m a sucker for horizontal speedometers, non-circular ones, or just clean layouts in general. These days anything that isn’t an always-illuminated display is appreciated in my book though. Here’s an ‘88-’91 LTD Crown Vic, and its simplicity is greatly appreciated.

This looks pretty sweet (as does pretty much everything from the Yakuza dev). Glad a dual language option will be available too - while the English dub seems to be pretty good I think I’ll prefer to play it in its native language.

Technically there was a way to play as Nitrous Oxide in the original PS1 game. It was a bit...more involved than a simple unlock, however!

I still can’t believe they included Destruction Derby over something like Driver.

I think it’s quite pretty looking - an honest, squared off pickup.  You can’t get much else like it on the market today given an over-emphasis on aggressive styling and contour lines everywhere.

Fuck those rotary knob shifters.  Especially when they’re placed too close to the radio or climate control knobs.
