The new Continental is quite the looker. I was impressed the other day when one passed me in traffic. Wish they still made the Town Car though.

Can we have a best movie car chases QOTD again? Some of my favorites were missing.

This reminds me of this supercut on YouTube that edits several chases into one, surprisingly cohesive, chase.

**that isn’t just StarFox 64 again.

Thank goodness Texas still has the death penalty on the books.

I love the fact that I prefer sedans over coupes. So many deals to be had!

You won’t see a single marked Altima left in the PD fleet - they didn’t stand up to abuse at all from what I’ve heard and the interiors practically fell apart.

I figured something mechanically must have been up. They’re generally trouble-free cars as long as routine maintenance is kept up with, minus a tiny amount of specific issues that were corrected during the product run (such as the intake manifold issue).

Done!

Sounds like a good portion of the cooling issues could have originated from a failing intake manifold, which were particularly troublesome on panther platform cars starting in ‘94 and lasting until the intake manifold was redesigned in ‘02. The window motors always seemed to be somewhat weak as well.

I always had an irrational affection toward the Cutlass Ciera and the A-body Buick Century.

Agreed; it didn’t make any sense. I can’t imagine having to fumble for the turn signal stalk while somebody is about to merge into me, ha. Glad it was gone soon after its introduction.

The horn location or the handling attributes? On the horn, yes. Ford added it to the turn signal stalk in the early 80s and it was gone by ‘86 due to (completely reasonable) customer complaints IIRC.

That’s a shame. The LTD wagons and Crown Vics/Grand Maruqis(es?) of that era are some of my favorites, primarily due to their barge-like attributes and floaty handling. Although I have no idea what Ford was thinking when they put the horn on the turn signal stalk at the time. It only took a few more years before

I still can’t get past the fact that Chrysler replaced the Valiant/Dart with the Volare/Aspen. Surely that has gone down as one of the most boneheaded moves in automotive history. (That said, I like the styling of all four.)

I live in one of NYC’s five boroughs. I can confirm that the lowered import tuner with fartcan exhaust scene is still somehow alive and well, and most assuredly annoying beyond belief.

The only thing these are acceptable on are Buicks IMO. It’s a longstanding tradition.

Given how many Cutlass Cieras were on the roads at one point, it wouldn’t shock me if highways were covered in these.

Thanks for your undoubtedly hard work at getting all of those packages through. The holidays and online shopping wouldn’t be the same without you!

I’ve had worse luck with FedEx and UPS than the USPS.
