I can confirm that it was horrendous on PC - memory leaks were the worst part. A micro-stutter would turn into a game-breaking macro stutter as time went on.
That’s a shame - I loved Just Cause 2.
I couldn’t agree more - the remake was a travesty compared to the original. Here’s a good comparison video I found recently (actual comparison starts at 2:43)
I found most of the characters in GTA V to be relatively unlikable and without many redeeming qualities. Conversely, Roman and Niko were hilarious. It did have a darker atmosphere to it though.
Ran into this with Just Cause 3 and Mafia III recently. I’m not sure if they ever patched Just Cause 3 to run properly, but eventually Mafia III got a little better (but still lackluster compared to II, mind you).
LA Noire really needs a view distance slider or something to take advantage of beefier hardware on the PC. I love it, but the pop-in of scenery and low-res textures on PC is annoying.
This scenario basically happened, so at least Staten Island seems to be more attentive.
Next thing you know he’ll be after a subway train.
There are a few types of cannonballs from what I’ve read - some were explosive and others were just lumps of metal. I suppose they didn’t want to take any chances by assuming this one was of the latter category.
As long as he’s not playing as Oddjob.
I’ll always have my trusty Sony CRT around for my retro consoles and VCR. It just isn’t the same playing them on an LCD or LED display.
Agreed - basically like me making the decision to buy Mafia III at launch only to realized it was terribly unpolished compared to Mafia II, and then seeing the prices it’s going for now.
It seems to be offered only on the PS4 on Amazon for whatever reason, but you’re right. It’s $19.99 over there.
If the game was cheaper at launch it would have surely taken its criticism better. With that said, this is a step in the right direction. $35 (on steam) is still a bit pricey IMO, but I won’t be averse to picking this up in the near future now.
This is adorable.
I wish I would have known that before having to lug the 3-ton jack box up two flights of stairs.
You could set a game like this in any setting at night, and just have cars full of large men with suits chasing after you relentlessly. As long as you capture the panic of escaping from pursuers in a game like Driver, for example, you’ll be set.
I remember Just Cause 2 taking me ages to get across in a helicopter. To imagine that you’d have to walk more than quadruple the size of that is both insane and impressive.
