Gotta say I respect Capcom for this move, unlike I would for most companies that release unfinished games. SF V is not launched early because of laziness, or incompetence, it’s released early for the true fans that will still be playing SF V 6 years from now.

I think the majority of people complaining about the lack of arcade mode are “old folks” like me. We grew up renting fighting games and playing arcade mode until a friend could come over. Playing through arcade mode to see the final boss was always the main draw for me.

There are some diversions and tricks involved, but I think people are getting a little out of hand if they say the game is unfairly difficult or abstruse.
