I’ve spent well over a hundred hours and over five hundred screenshots in No Man’s Sky so far and I’m not even remotely bored yet! It’s almost exactly the game I hoped it would be.

What sorts of planets were you hoping for?

They shouldn’t have used the word “Pokemon” in the title after going so far to create all those new monsters for the game, it always seemed counter-productive to me. The specific designs of the pokemon and the word itself are some of the few genuinely trademarkable aspects of the game, why remove one and not both?

I’ve gone back to Pokemon Y, Pokemon Go is the least fun I’ve ever been compelled to have on my phone. Riptide GP 2 was one of the nicest surprises I’ve had on the ps4. I bought it in the sale for £3 and didn’t play another game until I platinumed it three days later. Bought this at launch for £10, very satisfied so far! The police really add to the Hydro Thunder feel!

Ha! This was the first thing I thought of when I heard about the recent NX rumours, Nintendo are really mining their old designs! I bet there’ll be a Virtual Boy shaped device you can slip the NX into for VR as well.

If the formula really does describe nature then it shouldn’t have been granted a patent in the first place, it’d be a discovery not an invention.

I have no issue with the art style, or the lack of Samus, or the focus on multiplayer, or any of that, but I do take issue with this game appearing AT THE EXPENSE of a proper Metroid game. If there was also a full Metroid title announced, even for NX, that’d be fine, but to think that this is all we get after eight…

I won’t be surprised to see mini SNES and N64s coming if this does well, which it certainly will! Also, how long before someone hacks this and puts every NES game ever on it?

There are hundreds of thousands of species of fish, it’s really not weird if they eat each other. No weirder than mammals eating mammals.

You know there’s a Pokemon that’s actually an ice cream? And one that grows bananas on it’s chin? The tastiest Pokemon definitely came with the later generations. Mmmm, Malamari! My mavourite!

This is all I ever wanted the NX to do... My excitement for it is lessened.
