It's the one where the main character, a young boy, is taught by the crystal gems about mastering all four elements in order to defeat the leader of the fire nation, Yellow Ozai.

Yeah, I didn't really feel that Amethyst's feelings were completely validated in that regard.

I don't know man, have you seen the sexual tension between Lapis and Greg? IT'S UNBEARABLE!

Sorry man, but I am going to rain on your parade with my own theory. There is a theory that Rose Quartz is Pink Diamond (and there is quite a bit of evidence that that could be the case), and going under the Pink Diamond theory, it could also be speculated that the significance of a Quartz could have been downplayed

You know would be even better? To have them reach the scene by the end of the first episode!
Did you hear something? I think it was the sound of your MIND BEING BLOWN!

Really? Either I am completely blind, or the layers have not appeared yet. I WANT LARS TO BE LIKE AN ONION/OGRE DAMMIT!

Given how protective and strict Connie's parents are, I really don't think that was the intended implication of that statement.

She was given some kind of hostage syndrome by Magic Man. She needs therapy!

Both him and Lars have that lack of depth. I think Onion is the worst offender of this lack of complexity.

(It's because he is not a white straight male)

Yeah, that is pretty hypocritical there, like really, really hypocritical. You just defended your beliefs by saying that it isn't fair to generalize said groups, and then you immediately proceed to generalize another group.

It's pretty much both sides of the coin that face and dull out harassment. I mean, there's "Shirtstorm," false rape accusations (such as the Rolling Stones UVA piece), there's Joss Whedon (regarding the Avengers 2 film), among others.

Oh yeah, clearly I don't like any of what he does because I thought a single episode had too much going on for its own good.

My point is that the episode was really, really poorly paced. It tried so hard to do everything, that it failed to convey anything.

Honestly, this was what “The Comet” was like to me:

Is that an alien anagram for Satan?

The ones he killed, ironically enough.

Well, I didn't imply that Susan Strong is Finn's mother. I hope she isn't, because that would be really weird.

I was hoping for a little bit more meat to the episode, but it was simultaneously entertaining and cringe-worthy to watch Martin be an manipulative asshole… Like always.

I think you are giving him too much credit. He probably just wanted to avoid talking about that stuff (he was most likely always a jerk) with Finn.
