Do you have any idea how many college and high school kickers are better than this? Schools like Ohio State have five or six kids on the roster (non-scholarship) who are all ten times better than this. I can name six high school kids within five miles of my house who are better than this.

Good for her, but is there a reason to believe she would be anything beyond a PR move? The differences in male and female anatomy are brutal and some college soccer player who can’t quite hack it in the MLS is much better player than her. USWNT loses to high school boys.

This kind of begs the question that if Lloyd is given the chance, then why wouldn’t the (at least 10s) of other male college kickers and soccer players who can make the same kicks, be given an opportunity? I was a pretty good kicker who started a few D1 games (and rode the bench for many, many more). Right now, in my mid-30s, I could probably hit a 55-yarder with a runup like Carli had in the video.
