@skahammer: I think it's one thing to say you "really like" that perfume, dress, skirt, bra, boots, strap-on, etc. But it's something different to say you'd "really like" your partner to undergo potentially dangerous surgery for your gratification.

I don't mind them not being in stores; I buy a bunch and freeze them in zip bags so they last me a few months.
@Peppermint: In high school, we thought we were so clever by coming up with confusing substitutions, like:
@Homerjay has ABSA Fever: Thanks!
If there wasn't an actual movie behind this, I'd swear it was parody. Nice to know a single Julia Roberts "chick flick" can be so threatening to the little boys with big guns.
@Homerjay has ABSA Fever: Do you have suggestions for where to go (online) for good info on organic lawn maintenance?
@anteup lost her pizazz: I'm with you all the way - making sure you don't lose a pie plate certainly trumps leaving your delicious pie to a bunch of ingrates!
@RenoDakota: Bastards! And they didn't even leave you any of the "nice" mac & cheese!
(sorry for the dupe!)
@HelloKitty: It's Kate's world, we all just lean into it from time to time.
Seems to me like both sides are missing each other, at least in part. Much of the original complaint was about the dearth of female writers and on-screen talent. To which TDS seems to be responding by pointing out that there is much more to the show and its creative energy than just those two roles; and there are…
@Lirael: Good point! I think early on in relationship, having a clean, well-stocked fridge and a large bed with clean sheets definitely helped things move along.
@monkey_biz: 11 hours - that's ambitious!
Ugh, she is so tedious. Some of her ideas were interesting 20 years ago when she wrote her book (yeah, it's been that long), but everything since has been a tired retread of her biases and pet peeves. She doesn't even bother offering an argument anymore, just sweeping generalizations and pronouncements.
Mmm, donuts. Is there anything they can't do?
@amethysts: I have to agree. When I read the NYT piece this weekend, I knew it would be fodder for a Jezebel slam. I like many of the serious, interesting issues discussed here, but the Munn bashing seems a bit gratuitous.
@FiendishThingie: That's been my problem with Wilson all along. It's hard to be insightful about something if you have contempt for the subject itself.
A lawyer friend of mine studied under M. Ginsburg and was amazed both at his intellect and at what a great person he was. Despite his success as a legal scholar, he deliberately stayed out of the public, including turning down many offers to work in government, to avoid conflict with his wife's career. What a great…
Finally, some respect for Donuts!
@ToUnfoldThem: Don't know about the Golf, but our 10 year old Jetta and 7 year old Passat are doing great. A bit on the high side to maintain, but have been extremely reliable and problem-free.
