The JB code gets written to the framebuffer (basically some memory assigned for the display) and ultimately executed during a restart - the gibberish is basically your JB persisting through the restart.

If they're text not scans of text documents then google desktop search, copernic, etc can search them. Can you select an individual line's text from a PDF?

Maybe primer (1^er) or another ordinal? [bit.ly]

@wickedcupofjoe: Re: #1, are you sure the shortcut key isn't in use already for something else? I did the same previously and picked a letter in use.

@Prairie Moon: Nightly Tester Tools extension ([bit.ly]), then force install on your incompatible add-on(s).

@Arcitens: I've used Launchy before (the Firefox extension, not the hotkey thing) - but not since maybe Firefox 1.x. Right idea I think...

@yogeshdengle: There's a utility from a MS Resource Kit I use that helps. I use it when docking/undocking a laptop to a dual monitor setup.
