There was a coffee shop near my old apartment that made coffee so strong you could stand your spoon up in it. I always ordered a cafe au lait, because otherwise it was too bitter for me. Now you have a choice between medium and medium.

And when choosing limes, pick the light green limes. Dark green are not ready, and yellow are past their prime. This is something I recently learned after buying a bunch of dark green limes and wondering why they didn’t juice very well.

For mistakes, I think the best apology is to say “I won’t let it happen again,” and then strive to make sure it doesn’t happen again.  I try not to apologize or find excuses.

The Dreamery had the best vanilla ice cream. I saw that it won a Cook’s Illustrated taste test, so I bought a pint. Vanilla ice cream so good that I didn’t want to add anything to it. I think Edy’s owned the brand, but it’s not made anymore.

Rice milk is refreshing, I think. Naturally sweet, so you can buy it without sugar and it tastes fine, but not too sweet. I never found any other use for it; I just drank it cold (no ice).

What about internet bullies?

Anecdotal for certain, the restaurants near me downtown have pretty busy lately, except the Blaze Pizza joint. I walked in, they had a skeleton crew that looked totally new, and they seemed to have no efficiency. I didn’t bother to order and went somewhere else.
