When I want to get hot but not boiling water, I use the microwave. Pour the water out into another container, and it should be fairly uniform temperature.

Slice the yellow squash and steam it with sliced sweet onion. It’s to die for. A little butter, salt, and pepper. Yum. And it doesn’t take long to steam.

I saw them open for The Police circa 1982. Tickets went on sale when we had a half day at school, so we piled in my car and drove to Atlanta to buy tickets. We had great seats on the floor about 10 or so rows from the stage.

A warm spring day, a restaurant’s shady outside seating area, lots of beer, and lots of oysters on the half-shell is just delightful.

If you have a long hallway, fresh cranberries are a fun chase toy. They’re a little oblong and bounce a bit, so they don’t roll perfectly straight. My kitty loves chasing them, you just have to be careful not to step on them. Very cheap, too.

My SIL’s cat ate those plastic milk jug rings and had to have surgery, something to watch out for.

I love whole milk. I mostly buy it to put in hot tea, but sometimes I have breakfast cereal, and I recently discovered that a bit of milk mixed into a thick kefir-esque drink is very nice. 

And they give you an awesome new character - a droid that wants to jump start the droid revolution - then kill her by the end of the movie.

I enjoyed this one as a youngster. Mel Blanc voices the parrot. I can’t say how it holds up, though.

I have recently bought some red Solo small cups, because I can’t keep from breaking my glasses.  I’ve had mugs for decades, but glasses?  I can’t keep them safe.

Vichyssoise and cold Borscht are two good cold soups, but alas, you have to cook them first, although I have seen a recipe for blender borscht with canned beets.

A few years ago I binged-watched Deep Space Nine on Netflix, and I noticed that every time Nana Visitor was in a scene, they made sure to have a shot of her butt. Every time, every scene.
