Aldi has some of the worst produce I’ve even seen they had a whole displays of asparagus with slimy, decomposing tips and rotten raspberries.

I went to one for the first time and left unimpressed. I couldn’t figure out if any of their store brand stuff was any good so I just left with some beer. 

The Walmart near me has only one staffed register that has access to tobacco and the rest (a dozen?) self-check.

I make the kids peel them outside, otherwise, yeah, looks like a crime scene. 

I’m not a chef so I’m just thinking about the time savings.

Funny, the Buckley version they linked to isn’t even the best Buckey version.

I’ve steered clear of the others, but when I read about this one I said, “OK, this one I’m going to try.” I hope they retool it for the US market.

If a place like Noma did a podcast talking about the stuff they’re fermenting, successes, failures, etc I would listen. Otherwise, it’s just a big commercial. No thanks.

It’s dated, but if you ever want to read about oranges and the industry up through the 60s then Oranges by John McPhee is a wonderful read.
