Hmmm……. Whoah!!

This may sound hypocritical coming from a guy with a room stacked floor-to-ceiling with moldy old game consoles, but keeping an old game's aesthetics intact matters a lot less to me than retaining the aspects of what made it fun to begin with. I certainly don't derive any more pleasure from watching a badly colorized

How about a 'Bad, Internet! No biscuit!"

I just moved, myself. And I moved myself. Heyoooo!

I bit the bullet & bought a Wii U this week. After fixing a bunch of broken crap in my new digs, I'm looking forward to spending some more time with Super Mario 3D World this weekend.

I've had bad luck with launch hardware, particularly from Sony. My launch PS1 only works upside-down, and my launch PS2 likes to gouge huge gashes in disks. On the other hand, 1st-gen PS3s seem to be pretty reliable and people don't seem to be complaining in large quantities about problems with the PS4's hardware, so

He makes an awesome Halloween costume, too.

Oh man, I am soooo in debt to me!

3D just gives me a headache, and I think it's because my brain wants to try to focus on the stuff on screen that's out of focus—if that makes any sense at all. When I see that illusion of depth in a 3D movie, my brain expects to be able to focus on all the details on the screen, and it throws a little migraine-y

If they even manage to stay on the market long enough, it'll be years before they become as cheap as comparable LCD sets, Don't get me wrong, I'll be thrilled if/when OLED TVs fill the

The death of 3D TV is no major loss, but what truly sucks is the imminent death of the plasma TV. Despite making sets with consistently highest-rated picture quality, Panasonic will stop making plasmas later this year. This leaves Samsung to carry the plasma torch solo, and since they're losing money on HDTVs too,

I have a 41" 1080p TV and at more than a couple of feet away from the screen, I can't really make out the difference in resolution between it and my friend's 720p set. I can't imagine a 4k set being noticeably better than a 1080p set, unless that TV's bigger than a house.

Soo… Poochy OK with everyone?

Too bad I missed out on this. One would think this game would be right up my alley.

Pining for the fjords?!

An AES is still on my wish list, but I did manage to score a CDZ. All of the games' text are in Japanese, but I don't think I'm missing out on any deep narrative in King Of Fighters.

As much of an oddball as it is, the Vectrex has enjoyed an enthusiastic homebrew following. Since the early 90s, when the Vectrex's creator moved its library of games and documentation into the public domain, people have been cranking out multicarts, original titles, new peripherals, and even PC interfaces for it.
