You will survive being triggered or upset by things that make you uncomfortable or remind you of trauma. Trigger warnings are the equivalent of “This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer”.
PTSD is just a relatively rare condition, period. And are you only talking about sexual assault? Anecdotally, I know several dudes who claim they have it, too, for reasons as innocuous as being dumped by a girl.

How far does our right to avoid trauma extend? The college classroom is attended voluntarily.
I have been raped. To shield me and handle me with kid gloves is to deny me the strength I have worked so hard to regain. I’m a woman, and I understand as much as any survivor that rape happens. Trigger warnings are bullshit.
Most people who throw around trigger warnings don’t have PTSD. How do we know? Statistics, frankly.
Well, that’s what it SHOULD be for, but on some campuses, the whole trigger warning trend is turning into something more, and is being used by some sheltered kids to avoid “uncomfortable” or “upsetting” topics.
