(does he piss in those bottles too?)
I took a look back at Doctor Who (the revival) S3 and it’s a banger. It has “Blink,” widely acknowledged as one of the very best episodes since the show’s return as well as an outstanding three-part finale (“Utopia,” “The Sound of Drums,” and “Last of the Time Lords”).
Yep, I’m totally on-board, too. There’s nothing in the games (again, that I’m aware of) that suggests that there aren’t meds of some sort that can prevent ghouls who would otherwise turn feral from doing so.
In the games, ghouls can exist as an average person with the right meds, otherwise they become Feral and attack basically anything that moves.
I loved RTD’s first run and while there were missteps (farting aliens, anyone?) what era of Who hasn’t had those? It was an exceptionally well done 21st Century update of an iconic piece of television and its strength set a tone that’s allowed the show to continue on for twenty years (and who knows how much longer…
From Wikipedia:
Agreed. I think it’s a neat piece of tech and they may very well be onto something, but the price point, the fact that it’s version 1.0 of the hardware, and the dearth of use cases that you mention it’s not surprising at all that it isn’t getting a lot of traction.
Man, Book of Shadows is one of the very worst films I’ve ever seen in the theater. It’s Highlander 2 both in terms of how objectively bad it was and also how badly it squandered everything that was great about the original.
Yeah, I keep a cover on the one in my studio and I learned that lesson pretty quickly.
Ah, my sarcasmometer is sometimes off. Here’s hoping!
Your faith in a corporation to do the right thing in response to anything other than a threat is touching.
I think the tone of the article is that while Cinemark needs to relabel its cups as holding 22 ounces, a class-action lawsuit may be a bit over the top. Give everyone involved a free beer and move on.
The IR sensor thing is nice. I use a Harmony remote and it does a great job turning the Series X on and off. The only device I have, in fact, that it doesn’t do anything with is my PS5; I don’t recall if you can control it via Bluetooth like you could the PS4, but that whole thing was very clunky and didn’t always…
Weird surface people - maybe a few nicer ones this time.
It won’t matter. If you explain how much more expensive a capital trial is vs. life imprisonment they’ll still not just want to keep the death penalty on the books, they’ll lament that the state doesn’t execute enough people.
Social media and YouTube are also generally havens for spoilers, the latter in titles and thumbnails. I’ll say, though, that people have actually been pretty good about it on social media, relatively speaking.
There’s a clip that I like to post of Walton Goggins in Forever Young alongside Mel Gibson. Gibson does a little rant at the end of the scene where he says “...for the rest of your military career” and pronounces “military” as “militry” rather than “mili-tair-y.”
A bigger budget, while not a panacea, can certainly help a production along. That’s especially true for a sci-fi show, even one for which low-rent effects have been part of the experience for so long.
