I think the only thing they’re trying to “improve” is their profit margins by locking people into something where they can peddle their own subscriptions.

Yeah, this has to be a grift or, more likely, another weird attempt to burn money to own the libz.
I bought one (well, two actually, since I also put one in my studio) specifically to play with a group of people and then those people abandoned me. (womp womp)
Hopefully they’ll start building in licensing moving forward. It’s irritating that some games can’t be played via BC, even if you have the disc.
That’s long been my concern; it seems like one potential outcome is that where today you have the Series S as a more accessible, lower-powered option and the Series X for the full console experience, that will shift to some sort of streaming device bearing the Xbox name as the low-price option and if you want a more…
Save syncing isn’t PlayStation-dependent, is it? I only ask because BG3 has cross-save. Cross-play is a different matter, of course.
You can always get this piece of Dafoe-related apparel, from the fine folks at “How Did This Get Made?”:
Should’ve just watched Space Jam and saved some time.
(though I do kind of like the idea of pre-Hartnell Doctors, and I love validating the Brain of Morbius Doctors lol)
The series being canceled before that could actually happen is perhaps the best thing that could’ve happened. But, of course, Chibbers came in and a) brought the worst parts of that back and b) did so extremely ham-fistedly because he’s Chibbers.
Although this wouldn’t really work given that the character was a Shatner analogue, it would be hilarious to see Kline playing a very Kirk-like captain on the show but just being a thoughtful, kind, professional actor in real-life. Sort of like how he switched between President Mitchell and Dave Kovic in Dave, but…
Nope. It’s going to be Stephen Ouimette.
That sounds like the best plan... I’ll wait until the MLB season starts, then fire up a free trial. I do vaguely remember that when I tried it on my laptop it wouldn’t load unless I allowed location services, and when I did it gave me the ol’ Dennis Nedry. I didn’t even know that VPN services could spoof location, so…
I got a new vehicle in February, and it has a wireless charging pad. It virtually never worked with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and folks online indicated that it was very much a thing with iPhones; the theory was that maybe the camera bump prevented it from laying perfectly flat and connecting properly.
I’ll be interested to see the 16" iPad Pro in person. I’m happy with the screen size of the 12.9" model I have now and it seems like having one the same size as my MacBook Pro’s screen would be a bit much, but it’s hard to tell without actually handling it.
Matt Baume’s most recent All in the Family video has some really great Lear stuff:
Thank you for that clarification!
It seems logical that they could/would automate the performance sliders that folks on the PC side use to optimize their settings for their particular hardware. In fact, they may already be doing that but I’m not particularly knowledgeable about how the mechanics of XSX vs. XSS stuff works code- or UX-wise.
Is feature parity why Starfield only runs at 30 fps on Series X? It seems like the hardware should be beefy enough to handle 60 fps but if it has to run at the same framerate as its little brother that would explain it.
That’s interesting! When I tried it using VPN Unlimited I never used any servers outside the US since I figured it might be geolocked and I was really just trying to get around a US regional restriction rather than a national one.
