It almost works starting at the 6 but before that it seems to be random. Or at least semi random by skipping digits. 2+4=6. 3+6=9. If there was another planet using ‘1' then it would start in a reasonable fashion but after that the pattern diverges.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. If moons can do it there’s nothing stopping planets. Granted the balancing act is probably a bit more fine tuned considering the size but it seems like a logical conclusion that resonance is the answer.
