And any senators or congresspeople who might vote to cut the budgets of these agencies will be quietly reminded just how much kompromat the three letter agencies have on them.

But but but I thought the government had to fake a global pandemic so they could force us all to get a microchipped vaccine to track us! Not my precious Google Pixel!

Well I hope I’ve bored them silly with my uneventful life. Serves them right. Enjoy combing my Amazon orders for jam and T-shirts.

I like to think that Taika is sitting at home, wasting time reading about what I’m doing right now.

Tip from hard earned experience:  An open faced sandwich is, like, 5% less effort.

He’s the same age as me and I’m like “A sandwich for lunch?  That seems like a lot of work.”

Dude’s gonna work himself to death.

she was an easy and vulnerable target coming from a broken home and was confused about her sexuality

it’s not necessarily going to make for a better or more socially acceptable movie

I’ve never seen Fishback in anything before I watched The Deuce and man she was absolutely stellar in that show. As with most of the other characters on that show, I’ll always be interested to see what they’re up to.

That seems likely - I know that Hasbro convened a writer’s room (of surprisingly talented people) like 5 years ago to come up with plots/scripts for like a dozen movies based on all their toy properties. I also vaguely recall reading that Paramount had at least two Transformers scripts they were satisfied with back in

Definitely not plot, but I’m sure there have been plenty of considerations for the film:

I’m sure it’s in pre-pro already, but 14 months doesn’t seem like a lot of time to turn around a 200 million dollar CGI-fest like a Transformers movie. Unless they already have a script and have been cranking away on the CGI bits already?

Major League + Friday Night Lights

Yup. A lot of different story lines but it doesn’t feel like they bit off more than. Almost all of the characters with substantial speaking roles have gone through some sort of growth.

I hope Jason Sudeikis wins an emmy for this; hell, the show itself should win the big one. This is just a great show.

Really cutting it close here, but that was one of my absolute favorite TV episodes of the decade, hands down. I don’t often use the word perfect when it comes to syndicated TV, but that was as close to perfection as I’ve seen since The Americans bit it. Just... wow.

The first thing I saw Amy Ryan in was Gone Baby Gone and she’s great in that.

I love you said Amy Ryan, I had the same reaction to her in The Wire that I did to Coon in The Leftovers - looked forward to whatever they popped up in next.

She’s really great, and definitely turned my head when I saw her in Gone Girl. She’s one of those actors like, dare I say, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Ryan, John Hawkes, etc., who you notice at some point and go, “who is that?” and you start looking them up on IMDB.  I hope she keeps getting better and getting work.
