Maybe the issue is that the front of the car is just too small to make the grill the obligatory 8x taller on the M model?

please do not disagree with me
And yet here we all are. Again.
Thanks for that. Shame on me for assuming AV Club would actually do their job and mention which character she played.
I guess that all depends on how much you hate your job there.
These get offered where I work every 2-3 years. Mostly it’s to get the guys who are really close to retiring to finally make room for somebody else. That being said I think they month for every year deal is kind of terrible. The last one we got had guys getting paid for like 18-24 months and they kept their insurance…
The problem with these kinds of buyouts are that you lose the wrong people.
Yeah, why would you want a pension to support you in your retirement years (decades?) when you can take a single year of pay & return to job-hunting in your late 5os or 60s, competing w/ kids right out of college & experienced in the most recent technology? Boo stability & long-term thinking! Money in hand now,…
Agreed: a car company that actually gives a crap about its heritage models. Heck, Porsche not too long ago released an infotainment system upgrade for 2005-2008 model year 911's, Bosters and Caymans so you could install a headunit with modern features in the cars (Carplay/AAuto) but still keep them “stock.”
1 month of salary for each year of working at GM? So someone who worked there for 6 years decides to take the package, they get 6 months salary.
I don’t know but it doesn’t sound like a very enticing offer....
That is such a silly take. When offers like these are made, the employer isn’t looking to “make” anybody do anything.
Huh? How did you end up at this conclusion?
Programs like this are encouragement for those on the fence about leaving to leave.
While I appreciate the offer to voluntarily resign with a small bonus versus a mandatory layoff, I agree this is 100% about propping up the stock price by following other major industries who are cutting expenses by eliminating highly paid employees.
Programs like this are encouragement for those on the fence about leaving to leave. If the thought is whether to work one more year or retire early, the decision is easy. If somebody wants to transition to another career but doesn’t have a job lined up, a few months salary to help them find a job is great.
The buyouts are being offered to salaried workers in the U.S. who’ve been with the company for five years or more, as well as to global executives with two or more years at the company....If salaried workers in the U.S. opt to take GM up on the offer, they will receive one month’s pay for each year they’ve worked at…
I think it perfect. Just thik of the history of what engines may have been assembled on that stand.
Sadly no.
Still can’t believe Bohemian Rhapsody was nominated. It was a (barely) glorified standard issue VH1 Behind the Music. Best actor, maybe, but everything else was average at best. It contains a 4th wall breaking Wayne’s World joke, ffs.
