It is not, unless there’s an update somewhere, and you can’t carry it forward like you can with solar.

Man, we do love to means test everything in this country.
If you were to guess which EV maker would be the most capable in snow, there’s a good chance you’d settle on Polestar. A Scandinavian brand spun off from Volvo, it would make sense that the Polestar 2 in particular could handle the worst of winter.
An Alfa without an engine is like skiing without a slope.
Ah yes, the joy of new game plus, beating the shit out of Tree Sentinel
Bloodborne doesn’t need a remake, just a patch to let it take advantage of newer hardware. It’s only a gen old and still BC.
I am not even remotely considering an EV, but I am also never buying a new car either, so my opinion doesn’t really count anyways.
I’ve seen people fired for being five minutes late to work. That six minutes could be the difference between a patched or an unemployment check.
Considering EVs currently make up what, <2% of sales, I think 30% considering an EV is HUGE.
Very much agreed. I have nothing much against them per se, but an EV will not fit my life - too much like work for too little return (and too much upfront cost). A PHEV would be pretty much perfect, but nobody makes one that I want other than Volvo, and theirs is priced for the stupid. I could easily afford a V60…
EVs aren’t the right choice for every use, so these numbers make sense. We’ve got to get over the “Everyone must have an EV” garbage. There’s a need for hybrids, PHEV, Gas, diesel, and EV vehicles.
I live in a condo and recoil at spending over $25K for a car. I drive 7500 miles a year, 5000 of which is our early fall trip.
“It shows that just 30 percent of new car buyers in the U.S. are considering an EV for their next car.”
One, if you can’t charge at home, EVs are a PITA. Two, until EV purchase prices drop to the same as comparable ICE vehicles, money/budgets will continue to have a huge impact on many buyers’ decisions. Three, the historic rapid depreciation of EVs (to date) is a good argument against buying a new one. Four, if the…
It is all about charging time, while on the go. Until that can match gas cars people will drag their feet. We know we are too dumb to remember to always charge overnight (even assuming they have at home charging ability), because half the population can’t even remember to charge their phone all the time. Trust me, I…
Fisker having Magna build it’s cars is interesting, but I am wondering how much meat is on the bone there? Most cars that Magna build are low volume per projects for big OEM’s that don’t want to dedicate production to a low volume seller.
Anecdotally speaking all the Tesla owners I know are full on Elon cult members. They have been culting no matter what he was pimping. They culted along with his liberal views and kept on culting as he went right wing.
My mother was a pretty fanatic Tesla fan... until her 2017 Model S was rendered undrivable by an EMMC memory failure and:
