I grew up in Buffalo, and I used to take a small plane to go back there from New York to visit family a few times a year. One of those deals where a regional airline gets to slap the American Airlines logo on their propellor plane, and the delays at the airport are twice as long than the actual flight.

It sounds like her parents, both being the outdoorsy kind of scientist, instilled her with a lot of wilderness survival, and I’m sure she wouldn’t have made it out otherwise.

Wow. That’s some amazing resolve and awareness. If I would have been in her situation, I wouldn’t have made it 20 feet between the injuries and complete lack of survival skills.
