My dad worked the same job for 30 years till his company went under, and his was strictly a line job, but he had kids to feed and a mortgage to pay.

Exactly...and it’s easy to be righteous when you don’t have kids to feed or clothe. It’s a lot tougher to just walk away from a job because the asshole who owned the place just turned into a much more powerful asshole over the course of a year.

Actually, that’s one of his more impressive physical feats. If I just got down into that spread-squat, I’m pretty sure I’d lose feeling in my toes.
