His choices, whether you approve of them or not, are not worthy of that kind of escalation, and your judgment isn’t well founded. I did scores of hits of acid as a young person and am very successful in my career. I had my fun. It isn’t a bad choice, certainly no more so than skinny dipping on a public beach. Why is

Oh shit. Thanks for the link!

You’ve neglected to mention the soundtrack, which is just awesome. I’d like to know what songs/bands are being used if anyone is up on their French/English/Euro-pop.

Tots are the ground beef of the potato world.

The guy is a fucking joke. I saw his “stand up” in New York. Comes onto stage so drunk he’s basically cross-eyed, mumbles out some shit, picks on a few women in the crowd, then slouched off stage. Must be nice to be famous enough to be an unprofessional ass and still get gigs.

I think that among Bernie’s strength on the campaign trail was his insinuation that everyone was going to get higher taxes and pitch in in bailing ourselves out of this mess. Not sure how sincere this insinuation was, but it was refreshingly frank.

My dad never saw Titanic, either. “I already know how it ends,” he said. He’s not wrong.

Maybe they thought they were providing cover for the President, and were then surprised to learn that he didn’t want any. I’m not saying it’s a good explanation, but it’s all I’ve got before lunch.

Well, there goes my plan to buy an entire year’s worth of tickets for my long commute next year in advance. JK, I make bad decisions all the time, so I still may do that.

Sounds like it’ll also give him another showdown with California.

My parents are not aging well and are in their mid/late-70's. It’s frustrating that they won’t take steps to set up a trust or even write a basic will, sell cars they don’t need, do basic repairs on their house, or otherwise downsize their lives and get into good financial shape.

I like the cut of your jib.

This asshole. Again.

The separation between the higher ed and K-12 systems depends on the campus. I work at UK. My understanding is that only UK and UL are in a 401k-style, defined contribution retirement system. Western, Eastern, and NKU are all on a pension like K-12. So college pensions are in play, and have contributed to the poor

My wife and I watch a few shows together (Jessica Jones at the moment), but the rest of them we tend to watch separately. I ride a bike for cardio, and I watch a metric shit ton of shows during the winter when I’m set up to ride in the house on rollers. I find this to be an excellent way to watch “prestige” TV.

I don’t think my spouse and I reflect on our personal privacy with each other very much. It just doesn’t seem to matter to us and isn’t a point of friction. We’re practical about passwords. We share a lot of services and so share passwords for those things. We can get into each other’s phones because we often only

I do this with subway maps when I’ve visiting a new city. Screenshot off the website, and then it’s on the lock screen while I’m there. Cuts down on data usage while overseas, and it’s just easy to use.

Agreed. Prejudice and bigotry without the power is just being a piece of shit.

Pretty much this. My parents didn’t get me into the outdoors (although we grew up in a rural area). I got hooked in my late teens by friends. If I had kids, I would definitely take them as often as I could.
