Sure it's not an exciting car to drive, but that's not the point. It looks like it'd be a fun car to just go places in, get stared at by people who have no idea what they're looking at, and enjoy that aircooled soundtrack it shares with the Beetle and the 356.

I want to know what kinds of laptimes they turn compared to say, an El Camino.... Or an STI... there's something awesome about hot laps in a van.

Super long hood, shortish rear deck, possible weird tail lights(there has to be something odd available for these cars?)

I'd sell it, pay my tuition, buy Rod Emory's 356(from its new owner at the end of the raffle), restore my 356 to showroom condition, buy a house, install a magnificent garage and start filling it with weird things that struck my fancy.... Saab 99s, Mk.I Sciroccos, a custom built DuRocco replica.... etc.

The Porsche 911/997 and beyond. My kids will be better at math than me, so I can infer that they will see something inherently wrong with a rear engined layout in a modern car. I mean "sure, it's alright for daddy's 356, that car is almost seventy years old now, but in a car from today, that's silly!"
