There is likely to be some grace period before they won’t renew registrations. Besides, if they test it, it’ll come out clean, right? I mean, that was the whole basis of their defeat device.

I suppose you could, and it would probably depend on the state. States could easily prohibit registration renewals for vehicles that are known to not meet emissions standards.

I’m guessing you won’t be driving 532 miles without a bit of a break somewhere. Just plug it in at a Supercharger while you grab a bite to eat. Tons of people do it... 532 miles is nothing.

Obviously as a concept. Most of the stuff would not be in there for a production car. teh removeable radios, seats, and hose among other things would not being in there. But givn that you don’t really need the whole dor for side impact protection, the “open door” would be fine but not a common feature.
