They should’ve tried this in the Northwest. We’re much less BARBARIC than you Eastern savages! Beheading a defenseless robot... DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!

My minivan is a 2004 Ford E-350 set up conversion van style - 4 captains & a bench/bed. Best roadtrip vehicle and I don’t look like I let my wife carry my balls for me.

Lol same here, the HF ratchets all break and now I use their sockets with my Walmart one.

Even here on Jalopnik.. we are going to confuse boost threshold and turbo lag? These cars have a very very high boost threshold. Turbo lag... not so much. Boost threshold is at what RPM range the cars comes into boost (low threshold the V-tec kicks in early in the RPM range yo, high threshold like these means no boost

No, it never got smoother than that. The first time I saw one in action was actually frightening. Car exits corner, there is an explosion, car is elsewhere.

I don’t think there’s much overlap in the Venn diagram of “people who modify riding mowers for better offroad prowess” and “people who wear helmets by choice”.

The Diamond Schwarts (doesn’t that sound like a euphemism for a painfully hard poop?)

Is there a mod for the engine noise through the speakers?

I was hoping it was on a Beetle pan. Bradley GT Superleggera!

There is a hardware in Nottawa, Michigan that sell these. Awesome little devils. Made short work of cutting out the 2’6” wide x 6’ 4” door frame and putting in a 3’ x 6’8” standard size door. You know how hard it is to get a couch thru a regular size door. I basically destroyed the old fridge getting it out that door.

redline on a 4.0 jeep is like 4800 rpm. the valves float at 6 grand. dont ask me how i know that.

It’s not really that hard to work on new stuff either. Especially trucks. Some new cars are tough because of clearance, but trucks don’t suffer from that. But, you are not likely to have to worry about it until your odometer gets pretty high.

You can’t be serious about payload. The Current crop of “1/2” ton trucks all have the same frames as their big brothers. Almost all of the current half tons with a towing package have an approved towing capacity of over 9000 lbs. A current F150’s payload is over 2000 lbs. If that is not over engineering I don’t know

I’ll definitely agree on the fear factor. The 83 C10 I had was ran into 3 parked cars by the previous owner’s son (fell asleep at the wheel) . The front end was gnarly on the passenger’s side and I never had a problem with getting cut off. Well, it was either that, or the twin red “suspenders” ratchet straps I had in

Not all new trucks will be driveway queens...but a 70k F-150 Limited probably won’t see much dirt. As far as the speeding tickets, I was more referring to older under-powered trucks.

I don’t think most people care (except I care that I can’t see around the dually in front of me, but that’s another issue). It’s when truck owners who are obviously buying them for vanity try to bend logic to justify buying a truck. Like, they moved two boxes last year.

I agree with everything except you can’t charge your friends! Helping friends move is part of the deal when you own a truck. Beer, of course, but cash? Never.

A more relevant issue is whether the general public would choose correctly given any of these difficult scenarios. The right answer may be debatable but there's definitely some wrong answers and the autonomous card should first seek to avoid making the wrong decisions which is already better than any 17-21 year old

They should shoot them down when they interfere with firefighting. If they can smash your car windows to get to a fire hydrant if you parked in front of it they should be able to blast your quadcopter with whatever they want, like a shotgun.

Nobody expects them to be fast? It depends on the Oldmobile. Some wear their speed a little more on their sleeves.
