It’s a 1979 GMC Vandura conversion by Contempo. Not sure you can find too many left that aren’t completely ratted out. Contempo didn’t seem to last long. I think it was probably oretty expensive because it has the 400cu engine and seems to be well done. Unlike like later vans, it’s not weighed down with power

It reminds me a lot of the big I6s in Charter busses. I don't mind too much. It's not fast, but it does everything I ask and then some. Never figured I'd tow a car hauler until I got this 88 F150.

Captain’d out eh?

Sweet! Here in the States we didn't get the 300 series. My old 244DL was great in the snow as well though.

Sorry, I'm too busy winding why someone has a scale model of a Volvo 343 in the background of their Porsche rendering.

I watched to see if it was twin I beam. My 88 F-150 with the later stamped beams can handle choppy dirt roads quite well. The overly stiff towing suspension setup on the rear and the shot synchros on the M5OD do make things a. It more challenging.... Good thing he ol 300/4.9L I6 can just sit in a gear and pull hard

Silly kids these days...

I think the diversity of vehicles is the big draw. The are class events and histories, but Goodwood melds that with the modern Supercars, the Forrest rally and odds and ends (the commentators hype up the flint wall... EXCEPT what the Dakkar KAMAZ went up the hill: they noted it was taller than the wall and could

Hopefully there will be enough salt for the October events. This is the first year since I moved to Southern Idaho that it’ll be run, but I can’t make August....

Actuall, that chassis has the same handling as a 911/beetle/Corvallis going over a crest through a curve: snap oversteer.

That would be a tough one to avoid due to the chassis setup of that vintage Yaris. We had a 2001 Touota Echo (similar vintage) and now have a 2006 Sciaon Xa (same chassis). Going over a crest through a curve has a tense cry to load up. the twist beam rear suspension. Suddenly lifting off the throttle wil unload the

Meanwhile,Ferrari owners are like: we can do steak in an Icelandic winter.

I sometimes forget how limited the circuit was. Dad grew up in Seattle and watched them all the time. Got to go to Seafair as a kid and I’ve seen the races in the TRI-Cities.

I was referring to sound travel over water. 4 boats on a heat at full power sounds like rolling thunder.

A lot of the vintage hydros ran Merlins too, but the reatoration guys tell me they have mostly gone to Allisons to simplify maintenance.
