6th is basically a way to get another mpg or 2 on flat land. You end up have OD in 5th and 6th, so have to go down to at least 4th for any hills).

3 works surprisingly well, though I suppose a 4th OD gear would allow for a shorter rear end gear.

There is certainly some camo there...

My thoughts exactly! Sure it’s still getting torn up, but that’s well beyond what I would expect a stock vehicle survive. Especially compared to the Durango which wasn't pushing nearly as hard.

So much Monty Python here...

Don’t forget about the soccer mom’s Merc. Mom and dad bought one almost exactly like this in 77. I had it until 2003 when the wife said to get rid of it....

That’s different: us20 is lie us93 through Nevada. No problem going fast.

Highway 12 up I to the mountains in MT is the scariest 70MOH 2-lane. There are corners marked at 35 then the next corner isn’t market at a speed and it’s just as sharp.

Not surprised. Who wants to pay a toll when they can go away with driving that fast anyway?

Of course, I can only tow about 7000 lbs legally, and I’m geared to only tow it about 60MPH, so it may be an unfair comparison.
