Absolutely! Usually tow ratings are a confusing myriad of notes about towing packages and heavy duty cooling. Heck, my F150 has the 4.6L (300CID) Inline 6 that has been used in 20,000 lb Medium Duty trucks. It's the axles and brakes more than anything else that limit towing. Pretty sure I could move a 10,000 lb

True my 88 is rated to tow 4,000 becuae it’s the 5-speed, when the same motor and same body with an automatic was rated for 6,200.

Very true. I'm sure it was nice on the smooth sections.

Since they are running RWD, I'm kinda surprised they are running a Ford with Twin I Beam front suspension. Many desert racers ran Twin I Beams before modern designs came about.

I think the problem is balancing battery weight with payload. That said, this is ready-made for fleets who don’t max load or towing limit.

I feel for ya! The trucks around here have driving lights with low beams. If they hit the high beams, they are aimed over my car.

Most I have pulled was about 6k with my F150, but the old Ford 300 I6 pulls like a freight train. I would recommend large loads without trailer brakes and upgraded rear suspension. I’m set up with leveler a for towing.

If you are going to be towing a lot, research should have shown that you don’t want the 3.08 rear end. If I looked at those numbers, I would have questioned a 3.08 and 3.42 having the same rating.

Those could be leaky wheel cylinders or axle seals. Had a similar issue with my 88 F150 and it was the seals. Did the wheel cylinders when i was in there to get it all done at once.

Never seen it on a Jeep. Around here it’s late model Duramax 2500s with a 4-5” exhaust. The new thing is those slim light bars.

Also, the Bro trucks need to be refocused. Their low beams are super annoying and high beams have to leave a heck of a blind spot. Maybe that’s why they always have ultra bright fog/driving lights on too?

I actually have a 110. Slightly bigger motor and electronic ignition. Other than that the same as a later Trail 90.

It used to be totally legal and then they went to on road have tiny plates (which are black on white and perfectly tiny sized on kei trucks).

I’ve had this thing up to 50-ish MPH and it makes dirt bikes look big.

They still make them for Austrailia and the Chinese have cloned basically every part so they are surprisingly easy to maintain and accessorize.

They still sell a scabbard that will mount on them.

I was really young during the piston to turbine transition. Watch many turbine faces and jumped at the chance to watch the thunderbolts when they were in C’DA.

Heck yeah! Though I don’t have quite the axle articulation...

And Alfa later used the Di Deon tube to great effect, effectively completing the cycle with sexy cars.

My dad grew up in Mt Lake Terrace and went to all the races. As a mode we went to Seafair then recently went to see the historical at Coeur D’Alene.
