People were active going into ether 80s. They needed transportation to match.

Heck yeah! Dad had a 1600 and an 1800. Many memories of mostly the 1800 (can’t find any pics though).

Shoot, I have a fiberglass cover that is insulated, then covered with cup holders and an outer vinyl insulated trim piece.

Um how would you know? You can't actually see the engine.

Being a conversion, the 70 GMC van is fitted with all sorts of things.

79s have the big humps....

Add on true dual exhausts running through aging glass packs and “incognito” simply doesn’t apply.

Si liar, but it’s more like someone had a Stretch Armstrong version of a Ductai naked bike and just scratched it out.

Without the windshield eyes, they never would have slipped the Miata twins flashing their headlights bit.

I’ve got the 1988 Edition “custom” (my F150 badges fell off a while back). It’s a pretty basic model and was missing a few options like carpet, power anything, and apparently any sort of UV protection in the paint. It also only has 6 cylinders, in a line, displacing 300 cubic inches. It’s the one motor that for years

I know the title says car, but I submit the Honda Trail:

The van project has taught me that while a toilet is the pinnacle of travel convince, full curtains on each window is night underrated (and strangely not available on more vehicles).

I bet! Wish one of those could fall into my lap like this project did!

Correct on the physics. I was more thinking of the physics of if a kid cracked the throttle, but that's more of an issue from a start or at low speed.

Funny how we specifically bout one for our kids and as soon as we were ready to sell it was suddenly illegal and worthless. Grr.

We learned, but on Honda Trail 90s at low speed and usually on grass. We got to ride the ATC 80/90 solo though probably around 8 or 9. Pretty sure my sister is 10 as that’s a Bloomsday 89 short IIRC. I must have been taking the photo.

I would t say I’m a huge fan of vans. This one by far is the best I ha e driven for some reason. Probably because it doesn’t have the HD suspension that the 15 passenger vans had. It doesn’t corner that well though and it’s not really fast: really built for highway cruising.

Fair enough. It is more of a acadilliac of its day, but the response was about long distance cruising and an old school Caddy/Lincoln or conversion vas make for a really comfy long distance ride.

You would be surprised. Not really built for the corners, but a bit of the classic Cadilliac feel on the road (or even during soft off raising for that matter)

Usually the limit is 25MPH
